My self-summary
Some of the friends I've met through OKC have asked me for an update, since we have returned to The States. So goes!

Marina & I are now living happily at a Daoist monastery outside of Seattle, training full-time with the master there.
Alongside this great good fortune, I've been given the chance to study art as an apprentice to a master of traditional carpentry. Fun!
- (

I am a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine, and treat a few friends here within my seedling of a clinic. I love to practice & teach Tai Chi, Chi Kung, Meditation, and other healing methods.

Mostly here on OKC as a game, alongside my partner. (Delia_Bitch)
Also, I've always wanted to create a personal "User Manual" for potential polyamorous partners to peruse. The question/answer section here will serve nicely. I try to be detailed & clear. I've mostly used the Q & A as a way to explore my own thoughts/experiences about meditation & the nature of "self"...ness.
That said, if you happen to find yourself fitting me perfectly, feel free to get in touch. I'm not great about checking e-mail, so don't hold your breath... but perhaps a real friendship can evolve from this?
What I’m doing with my life
This life is devoted to meditative stillness, Taiji Quan, Chinese medicine, gardening, healthy food, learning languages, teaching, reading, writing, tea, art, my family, and helping the community. In fact, service is the single most important thing that I'm "doing with my life."

I really enjoy routine, and exploring the depth of a few things... rather than a little of everything. Each day I get up at the same time, and go to bed just as regularly. Perhaps a bit on the autistic spectrum, I really enjoy my routine. Have I mentioned that? :)
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
Usually, people say that they notice my happiness first, and then tell me I look too young to be a doctor.
Then they see my mismatched socks...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Reading is a big part of my life, and I consume well over 200 books each year. If you, like me, love books - check out some of what I've read over the past few years:

Marina & I enjoy movies together each week, munching on popcorn and cuddling. I've "rated" lots of the movies I've seen on IMDB. Check out my favorites by searching for: "JohnLuckyBlue"

I love music, and once upon a time I was a professional jazz musician (mostly playing sax). These days I only sing alongside friends, and we enjoy many kinds of music! I've been making some playlists of my favorite music on YouTube if you'd like to check it out:

Really enjoy teachings from people like: LaoZi, ZhuangZi, Adyashanti, Nisargadatta, Mooji, Buddha, Jac O'Keefe, Ramana Maharshi, Pema, Eckhart, Robert, Karl, Dalai, Rumi, Li Po, "pure" Daoism / Buddhism, etc. etc. etc. If you recognize all these names, we'd have lots of fun conversation (or silence)!

In general, I'm someone who is constantly learning something new, and working to get better at something old. While I'm not currently enrolled in any university, I'm usually studying more than most hard-working students. This is such an amazing world, and I enjoy exploring! (It's tough to be more specific, because I will be studying something new each time someone reads this...)

...It's tough to be more specific than that, since I love so many things. Love is pretty easy for me.
The six things I could never do without
A book to study
Fresh Air
Laughing with Marina
I spend a lot of time thinking about
…the sound of one hand clapping?
I try to stay to “original mind” and avoid too much pointless thinking...
On a typical Friday night I am
Probably on my back, in our bed, in the forest. I’m up well before dawn each day, so it’s nice to go to bed with the sun.
You can tell that I'm a very exciting guy!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
We drive a Leaf?
I have no secrets, and will admit to anything.
Usually the most difficult piece of my life to describe, comes through my meditation. How do you describe to a stranger that the concept of "self" is only an empty fiction of thought? ...At least, without them deciding you're crazy??

A friend recommends that I post results from some tests here:
Myers-Briggs: "INFJ"
Attachment Theory/Style: "Secure" Attachment Pattern
Took the MENSA test & scored a "29" out of 30 (was too slow)
Enneagram: One with a Two-Wing: “The Advocate”
You should message me if
We happen to have incredibly similar interests.
I still may not respond, so please don’t write to me out of boredom or troll-dom. Remember that I do have a partner already, and we've only gotten closer & happier over the past 12 years. (!)
We do identify as "Polyamorous", so are open to expanding our relationship... if a perfect partner comes along.
Someone out there is bound to be just like me, so they might be fun to connect with.
