What I’m doing with my life
A college professor once said, "Find something you like to do, then figure out a way to make money doing it." That's exactly what I've done. I work in IT and I love my job. I love playing music too, and while I don't make a living doing it, it gives me some nice pocket change. In my off time, I try to spend a lot of time with friends having fun and enjoying life. When I'm not doing that, I'm always trying to learn more about anything and everything that sparks my interest or imagination.
The first things people usually notice about me
My imaginary friends. They're always butting into conversations. Just kidding. I don't really know what people first notice about me. Probably my sense of humor. Sometimes it's hard to make a lasting impact on someone's happiness or well-being, but it's easy to get them to laugh and brighten their day.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: the Kingkiller Chronicals by Patrick Rothfuss, the Nightside series by Simon R Green, Shannara series by Terry Brooks, Xanth novels by Piers Anthony, The Chronicals of Amber by Roger Zelazny.

Movies: I'm down for just about any movie; comedies, horror, drama, romantic, scifi.

TV Shows: Game of Thrones, Glee, Good Eats, HIMYM, House, Once Upon a Time, Psych, Smallville, Supernatural, The Big Bang Theory, Treme, True Blood, The United States of Tara, The Office, Agents of SHIELD, The Flash, Arrow.

Music: My music tastes are very eclectic. Right now I'm really into folk music. I listen to just about everything. I try to support indi artists, especially local ones.

Food: My taste in food is also vast. I love to cook, and I try to cook new things as much as possible. I will try anything once. I even had street food when I visited China. I'm always looking for new restaurants to try.
The six things I could never do without
My computer, my friends, my musical instruments, my glasses, my job, and my sense of humor.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lost friends and old acquaintance, what they're doing with their lives these days. Feasible ways to make a positive impact on the world around me or the people in my life. Ethics, morals, and other philosophical pursuits. Music.
On a typical Friday night I am
Hanging out with friends playing games or at a bar supporting local music or early in the evening out on the golf course.
You should message me if
You're an honest person. I'm an open book and very trusting. Lying is a vorpal tool. If it's a part of your conversational repertoire, pass me up.
The thought of dating a nerd isn't a turn off.
It wouldn't hurt if you had a love of music (playing instruments or singing).
