My self-summary
I love science and critical thinking(Carl Sagan is my hero). I'm a former ballroom dance instructor who is currently pursuing a degree in biology so that I can teach it in high school (for the money and fame of course). I'm a very easy going person and enjoy life whenever I can.
What I’m doing with my life
I am going to school to be a science teacher and I also work at the Bank of America/Merrill Lynch call center.
I’m really good at
Science, ballroom dance, hanging out with my friends, and apparently storytelling.
The first things people usually notice about me
My beard and my winning, outgoing personality. After a few minutes of conversation they usually notice my voice. I have a good voice from what I've been told.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
the Lord of the Rings(books and movies), Ender Series of books, Richard Dawkins' the god Delusion and the Ancestor's Tale, Pretty much everything by Carl Sagan, Family guy, How I Met your Mother, Game of Thrones, A lot of the Programming on the science channel. As far as music, mostly rock (including power and folk metal \m/), but I'm also into salsa and pretty much anything you can ballroom dance to.
Six things I could never do without
1. Science
2. Oxygen
3. Carbohydrates
4. Water
5. Good Friends
6. Hummus(mmmmmm, how did I ever live before I discovered you hummus?)
7. Special Bonus Round: Sriracha sauce! I put it on everything.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
This is a hard question to answer, all I do is think. I often think about science and how incredible it is that I'm on the surface of a ball that's orbiting a nuclear furnace which is so large that I have a hard time imagining it. Or that galaxy we inhabit is one of billions of billions of billions of galaxies in a universe that contains more stars than there are grains of sand on all the beaches in all the world. I also think about philosophy and the nature of things.
On a typical Friday night I am
hanging out with my friends or going out to a movie or to a club where they have a dance floor and play something I can actually use my ballroom stuff to.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm afraid of death. As an Atheist it's something I don't like admitting because I feel like religious people would be like "Aha! see!". All the same I do think about my eventual annihilation more often than I should and it bothers me.
