My self-summary
Comic book fan, sci-fi geek, movie nerd, GVSU alumnus, one-time wedding minister, and full-time ginger.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated from Grand Valley State University with my Bachelors about little while ago. Due to a lack of success of finding full time employment so far, I recently moved back to Detroit to ponder my next move. I'm working two jobs at the moment: salesman at a paint store (which features more death threats and admissions of criminal activity than you'd hope) and counterman/deputy of digital stuff at a comic book store (which is kinda awesome).
I’m really good at
I'm a movie buff: there's an excellent chance I know that guy from that thing and can name three other things he was in. I'm also a major comic book fan and serve as a comics concierge service to friends looking for something good to read.

I also got great reviews when I performed my friend's wedding.
The first things people usually notice about me
The fact that I'm a redhead. I'm also a ridiculously loud talker, due to having a hearing impaired parent.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: When I can afford it, I go out to the movie theater once or twice a week. My particular favorites are Tarantino movies and just about anything science fiction or comic book related, but I'm up to watch anything at least once.

Shows: Once again, anything comic book or science fiction related is a mainstay. Love The Blacklist and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Working my way through Netflix originals.

Music: The late, great Prince Rogers Nelson and his many side projects (The Time, Vanity/Apollonia 6, The Family, and Sheila E.) are at the top of my most played list. Also love Alice Cooper (and/or The Hollywood Vampires), David Bowie, Wu-Tang Clan, Lady Gaga, The Blues Brothers - my record collection is an eclectic one.

Food: Popcorn. Hot, peanut-buttery waffles.
Six things I could never do without
1) My family: my dad, sister, and I have been incredibly close since my mom died and I can't imagine ever falling out with them.
2) My friends: I've not always been the best at maintaining relationships with friends, the ones I have now changed that.
3) Comic books: I have one vice in this life, and it these.
4) The internet: Comics, books, movies, everything I need to avoid getting too deep into my own head.
5) A car. This is Detroit.
6) Food, oxygen, etc.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Comic books, politics, science, and my future.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home, watching a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My mother passed away when I was 13. I'm about as over it as I can be by this point, but you're never really "over it" entirely.
You should message me if
I sound like someone you'd want to chat with. What other reason matters?
