My self-summary
*Ok so this has been in need of an update for quite a while*
Hey, for lack of a better opening remark, I'm Chris and I'm a former animation student, now film and tv production student. I get more interesting, I swear. I get on with nearly everyone and apparently I can be reasonably nice as well. I'm pretty into my nerd culture from comics to fantasy books to any genre of movie whatsoever (for the most part). I'm also a lifelong NFL fan (come on the NE Pats!) I also work as a comics writer, which is a lot less interesting than you can imagine. A lot of procrastinating involved. If that doesn't pique your interest you should also know I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.

Scrolling down the page I came across an ad from AXA telling me to redefine my standards. You sell insurance AXA, next time I want relationship advice I'll ask. God damn AXA.
What I’m doing with my life
Drawing, painting and other art related activities in college while simultaneously holding a job writing comics. Nerd Alert I also play music and getting my ass handed to me in video games. But now I come with 33.33% less sucking. I also draw pretty pictures here on Mondays http://nerd-invasion.blogspot.ie
I’m really good at
retaining my title of Procrastination Champion of the World. I'm not too bad at playing music either, mostly bass but I'm not too bad with a normal guitar either and just talking random shite. I also have an insane habit of building blanket forts after an old two-parter of Community, like an architectural genius...with blankets. The science of pillow forts still elude me though....
The first things people usually notice about me
My incredible knowledge of all things pointless and my really odd sense of humour. That or my accent, it's hard to explain.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books? To be completely honest I don't get around to reading proper books very often any more but when I do my taste varies from the likes of the Dexter series to Lord of the Rings to the Castle "Nicki Heat" books. I'm currently reading Si Spurrier's "Contract" and it's a book I'd highly recommend. Moving on to the new canon Star Wars books as soon as I get the time.

I could talk about movies all day and then some. I'll literally watch anything which is part of the reason I was subjected to Suburban Commando. shudder My favorite movies include The Big Lebowski, Ghostbusters, Lethal Weapon, Die Hard, Empire Strikes Back, Back To The Future, any Muppets movie, any Disney movie, anything with Jason Segel or Emma Stone, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, etc.. The Avengers was a superior film to The Dark Knight Rises and Winter Soldier is easily the best superhero movie so far.

I'm actually quite picky when it comes to tv but I absolutely love Archer, Community, It's Always Sunny, Supernatural, Castle, Firefly, Arrested Development, Seinfeld, Arrow, Sherlock, Doctor Who, 30 Rock, US Office, Parks & Rec, Flash, GoT, Futurama and That 70's Show. Been binge-watching a lot more recently, stuff along the lines of Girls, Daredevil, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., etc. There's loads of other shows I'll watch as well, you name it I've probably watched some of it. Needless to say, the list goes on.

Music is blink-182! They've been my favorite band since I was like 6 so there are no words to describe my love for them. I'll listen to any type of music at all. The most played artists on my iPod at the minute are Childish Gambino, MC Chris, blink-182, +44, Eagles of Death Metal, I Fight Dragons, Blur, Ben Folds, Metallica, Paramore, Weezer, Zebrahead and Tenacious D. There's countless more artists in between.

I'm also a big gamer when I get the time. I play a lot of RPG's and platformers, not really a FPS guy but if it's put in front of me I won't say no. Wait a minute, that came out wrong. I grew up on Final Fantasy VIII, Kingdom Hearts & Ratchet & Clank so I won't hear a bad word said about any of them. My little sister got Disney Infinity recently and unfortunately it has completely taken over my life since.

Bacon, that is all. Also Mexican, Italian, Mongolian, Japanese... I'm a fan of trying new things when it comes to food.
The six things I could never do without
Can bacon be my answer to all six? no? balls :/
Ok let's see bacon (obviously), my iPod, my laptop, a weekly stash of comics, my friends and the occasional JD & Coke, or White Russian, or any alcoholic beverage actually.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
When I'm going to get my next tattoo. Student life means I spent all my tattoo money on socializing. Also how the hell I'm going to make the next script deadline for my comic. Stupid deadlines :/
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching the latest episodes of some shows like NXT before hitting the pubs with a couple of friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Never let me watch Bambi... or Serenity...or The Iron Giant. I well up like a baby at specific moments in those movies. If you've seen them then you know exactly what I mean.
You should message me if
you want to have a reasonably intelligent conversation? I hope.. Or if you have opinions on stuff I love, that's always a plus. Or if you're just bored. Or if you think we should buy a bar together, because let's face it that'd be awesome!
