My self-summary
Recently moved to the Charlotte area, not because I was kidnapped by pirates who were also with overland vehicle capabilities, but for work. Shocking, I know. Also un-shocking: Swashbuckling is not as much fun as the movies make it out to be.
What I’m doing with my life
Getting outside while the getting's good. Running and hiking.

Re-habbing a knee that has apparently suffered some damage from running. But not from running away, except for that whole pirate thing I noted above.

Reading. Writing. A little 'rithmetic (at work). Going to be exploring Charlotte and soak up what I can.
I’m really good at
Making sure there's no more ice cream left in the Ben and Jerry's pint.
The first things people usually notice about me
I can make most people laugh. Sometimes it's as easy as taking the bag off my head.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
The Dog Stars - Peter Heller (just finished this one, it's a rough ride but well worth it)
Infinite Jest - David Foster Wallace
Brief Interviews With Hideous Men - David Foster Wallace
The Baroque Cycle - Neal Stephenson
Cryptonomicon - Neal Stephenson
Snow Crash - Neal Stephenson
50 Shades (because I wanted to be able to speak to it by having read it, rather than offering up a limp uninformed opinion. I think I'm still suck on page 50 or so - just didn't pull me in).

Queens of the Stone Age
Kat Wright and the Indominatable Soul Band
Neko Case. Neko Case. Neko Case. Her "Blacklisted" kills me.

Diet Dr Pepper. And lots of it.

Running shoes. And running.

Under Armour. (Well known as a preventative for FMLC - Fat Man Leg Chafe)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The house I might live in, at some point in the future - where it will be, why a circular staircase that runs from the loft bedroom right down to the kitchen is a fantastic idea, and what the view out the panoramic kitchen windows will look like. I'm also wondering who's going to chop all the wood for the fireplace. I hope to find someone who is handy with an ax and a log splitter.
On a typical Friday night I am
Off for a run outside
Cooking dinner
Catching a flick
Reading a book
Starting a Fight Club
Fighting a Start Club
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Americone Dream is the crystal meth equivalent for ice cream addicts.
You should message me if
You are unafraid of danish.
