Mostly fantasy novels like LOTR (and the rest of Tolkeins extended alternative mythology), Harry Potter and the discworld novels. I live with a counsellor meaning theres alot of psychology books around so I've read quite alot of them. I like some great young authors like John Green and Maureen Johnson. I don't tend to like self help books. The QI books are great.
Ah where to start. I tend to like films that show something raw about humanity. I also tend to like films that do that by having devices such as bursting into song or fantasy stories or unusual cinematoraphy that allow us to consider the people fully without the constraints of this world, but have very real to the moment acting. Like when you go on holiday and you notice how beautiful the architecture is in say Rome, but never notice it in London one of the most architecturally staggering cities in the world. We see strangers clearer than friends. Beyond that preference I like any genre as long as it's the genre done well. Some films I love off the top of my head; LOTR (!!!), Conversations with other women, Nine, Dogville, Scenes of a sexual nature, LoveActually, Big Fish, Perfume story of a murderer, The Others, Lady and the Tramp, Deathnote, MOULINROUGE!, Trainspotting and oh so many more.
DoctorWho, Buffy, Angel, How I met your Mother, Glee, Merlin, Lipservice, SATC ect...
tbh I watch youtube more than tv.
Ahh live music is one of my lifes passions. I've been going to, putting on and being in gigs for years. I tend to like the live versions of songs better than prodcued versions. I like strong emotive voices especially really London kinda singers. I like a strong LANDAN TAWHN accent in a voice. Been crazy about this girl for the last year: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_iQLyFDASI
I listen to a fair few genres, but mostly of the indie rock persuasion.
I love food so much that if I have my flipcam on me and what lyes before me looks particularly amazing I'll usually film it for a few seconds. I have all these clips on my laptop of food like a complete freak. I come from a house of no nonsense Irish right from scratch home cooking. I eat alot. Alot more than you' expect given my size, but my eccentric Irish grandparents raised me on builder sized portions of Irish stew and roast dinners since I was little. I made mini cinnamon loaves today. I'm not fussy about food as in I'll eat most things and try everything once, but I'm not a fan of overly processed food because being raised on such simple food having glucky ready meals makes me feel a bit sick and I can just taste such a strong difference. When I go out it's usually Italian food I go for though there are 3 great restaurants in soho I go to quite alot; Benitos hat, TukTuk and GBK. I love afternoon tea with all it's little sandwiches and cakes. I love berries, pancakes and fry ups. Sometimes I combine these by having a two course breakfast. One pancake filled with fried strawberries and one with fried eggs and bacon. MMMM.
Being able to run.
People who interest me intensely.
The next project.
