My self-summary
Currently in Umeå studying for my master's degree in Cognitive Science. I'd best describe myself as a bit of a geek who spends far too much of my time inside my own head rather than in the real world. I am originally from the UK and I'm still learning Swedish so I apologize if I can't respond to your message.
I’m really good at
Controlling my dreams, apparently (lucid dreaming), memorising pointless lists of things, word games, speed reading and I'm pretty decent at image manipulation as well. I've also recently started sculpting in clay and I enjoy this too.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: The 'A Song of Fire and Ice' series by George RR Martin - read all of the published books so far (great TV series too). Also Fight Club, The Eye of the World (must get around to reading the rest of that series), 1984 and 'Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?'.
Films: Twelve Monkeys, Big Fish, Memento, The Truman Show, Once Upon a Time in America. I have run a film society at my uni as well, and we tend to watch a lot of cult films there.
TV: I don't watch a lot of TV but I do like Game of Thrones (as mentioned already), Doctor Who, and quiz-coms like Have I Got News For You.
Music: No shame in saying that I love progressive rock, like Pink Floyd, early Genesis or Rush. The longer the song, the better. I do listen to a large range of music however, and I know a lot of people might say that, but they probably don't have a week-long Spotify playlist with over 600 different artists like I have.
Food: Italian or Chinese cuisine
Adding video games too: I absolutely loved the Mass Effect series (I didn't even mind the ending that everybody raged about), and other games with a real sense of immersion, like the Elder Scrolls series for example.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything. Especially if it is impossible or fantastical and has no bearing on the outside world.
You should message me if
You have over 70% compatibility. I probably won't respond if you are well below that. Otherwise, if you want to talk or ask me about some of the things that I have said, go ahead. It won't interest me much if you only write one line without mentioning anything I've mentioned on my profile, because it doesn't give me the impression that you even read my profile at all.
