As far as dating goes, I'm not sure that I have a 'type.' I do have preferences, however. I like educated, liberal, and extroverted guys who are generally in shape and out of the closet. Republicans will be blocked immediately, so don't bother ;)
I sometimes give the wrong impression to guys the first time that I meet them. It could just be my own awkwardness or a tendency by some to "categorize" me, but I will sometimes hear, "I liked you so much more the second time we met." Anyway, I won't make flash judgements about you, and I hope that you will extend the same courtesy to me and other people you meet.
An important thing that is a no-brainer but which I think most people miss completely: You should never consider yourself a "finished" person. We all have anxieties, insecurities, and ego issues that we should seek to work on until the day we die. You'll never be a "10." If you are resting on your laurels as a human, we probably won't be friends, and definitely will not be lovers.
Right now, I am a freelance photographer, graphic designer and nonprofit consultant and work on various community projects.
I was a lobbyist and field organizer for a statewide civil rights group for three years and still love to be involved in politics of all kinds.
