My self-summary
ME: I think that most would say I am intelligent, introspective, active (physically and mentally), but able to chill out as well. Considerate and easy-going, but not wishy washy. Highly educated, but unpretentious (except that I'm kind of spelling/writing snob). A bit of a tree-hugger (hybrid driver, recycler, etc.) and non-red meat eater. I enjoy sports, but am not addicted to ESPN. I have enjoyed travel (often “adventure-based”) much more over the past 10 years (Alaska, New Zealand, Iceland, Tanzania, Mexico, and most recently, Patagonia). Nature photography is a growing passion, and will be a “focus” as I approach retirement – hopefully within two years. Very close to my grown son and his wife, who now live in Colorado again after 10+ years out of state. I enjoy most of the usual set of outdoor activities, though I’m not a hard-core skier, mountain biker or rock climber.

YOU: Active, fit, bright, and at least mostly cheerful. You like to DO things -- not just talk or read about them, yet also able to enjoy downtime and quiet evenings. Good energy level (e.g., the idea of going out dancing or on an after-work hike on a week-night isn't daunting). Some combination of tomboy and feminine. Enjoy laughing and kidding around. Appreciate at least some sports. Emotionally available. Interested in and available to travel -- near and far. Better if we are at a similar “life stage”, e.g., no young kids and pending retirement and/or flexible work schedule, as I hope to be traveling a lot within two years. Like to kiss.
What I’m doing with my life
Figuring out how to do more photography while holding down a "real" 40 hour/week job.
I’m really good at
Seeing both sides of most situations, which tends to irritate some people with very strong opinions (I also have strong opinions on some topics, but can generally appreciate alternative viewpoints). Oh, pretty decent at word games as well. I think I'm good (and getting better) at photography. Will never shoot a wedding though!
The first things people usually notice about me
The 3rd eye in my forehead. OK, maybe the fact that I actually do not wear a visor or cap all the time!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Music: (national acts) Dave Matthews Band, U2, Sarah McLachlan, Rodrigo y Gabriela; (local acts) Face, Wendy Woo, Rebecca Folsom, various 80's cover bands.
