My self-summary
Ever since I was a child, I've been uneasy about going to sleep before midnight. I've never quite trusted that the next day wouldn't take off and leave me stranded in yesterday when I wasn't looking. Time is a strange thing, and hardly to be taken for granted. Besides, I guess it's telling of how I tend to think: I can't help but be concerned with the turning of the Earth, and how we're all going to get to tomorrow.

It seems to me like a major oversight that super villains always seem to be mad scientists. Why not, just once, a mad humanist? Maybe it's an historian this time in the underground volcano lair, perhaps plotting to control humanity using the power of flipping through archives? Or a philosopher, holding the world hostage with a weather control device called the Cogito Ergo Tsunami? Listen, we can tweak the details in editing. The point is, I think there is way too much potential here for this not to have happened yet.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently in step 11 of my own wildly convoluted plan for world domination, cleverly disguised as working on my PhD in English.
I’m really good at
Thinking in words, talking in circles, speaking in tongues, fabricating histories, punning the past with the future, rearranging the furniture in my brain, and changing the subject. Wasn't there something else you wanted to ask me about?
That's right...
The first things people usually notice about me
That briar patch that passes for my hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
For favorite books, we might be here a while. It might be best to stick with authors:
D.H.Lawrence, Virginia Woolf, Don Delillo, Anais Nin, William Carlos Williams, Sylvia Plath, Sigmund Freud, Jonathan Frazen, T.S. Eliot, Charles Reznikoff, Slavoj Zizek, and Sherman Alexie

Movies: Winter Passing, I Heart Huckabees, Blue Velvet, Royal Tenenbaums, and pretty much anything Mel Brooks has ever done.

Music: The Faint, Interpol, Metric, The Smiths, The Decemberists, Silversun Pickups, Kraftwerk, Passion Pit...
Six things I could never do without
Late nights, long walks, cold weather, warm touch, hot drinks, and the poetry of harsh, technical terms.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Gravity, rotation, desire, and anything else that holds us in our orbits.
On a typical Friday night I am
Likely free. Maybe you should message me and ask.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
All the things I'm hiding are fake; it's only the lies I tell that have any truth to them.
You should message me if
you have any clues to the whereabouts of the one-armed man.
The two of us
