My self-summary
A few years ago I decided to settle in Paris after having lived in Stockholm, Brussels, Vienna and NYC. I like Paris a lot but it's the sort of town you don't want to be alone in for too long--which is why I joined OKCupid. So if you're tired of feeling lonely too, drop me a line.
What I’m doing with my life
Good question. Like Wilde once remarked, "Everyday I find it harder and harder to live up to my blue china".
I’m really good at
- holding my liquor
- landing scholarships
- telling what breed a dog or horse is
- being unpunctual
- quoting Ben Jonson's The Masque of Oberon
The first things people usually notice about me
My giant set of antlers
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
BOOKS: "Thugs And The Women Who Love Them" by Wahida Clark.
MUSIC: I hate Peter Murphy's voice, but I'll have to acknowledge bauhaus's cover of Waiting For The Man is probably my favourite musical recording ever, because it is raw power. (I'm referring to their live show in Paris when Nico jumped up on stage, grabbed the mike, thus luckily drowning Peter Murphy's whining with her sexy Nazi accent.) You can listen to it here:
(BTW, I totally hate Lou Reed.)
Ratatat's remix of Biggie's Party And Bullshit is one of my all time favourites, I love old school rap, but I also appreciate Satanic black metal stuff like Dark Funeral (bass player Lord Ahriman aka "The Nose" is a personal friend). I rarely clean my apartment but when I do I listen to übercheezy stuff like Shirley Bassey, Dolly Parton or ABBA for motivation. Similarly, I love Mahler, Brahms, Wagner and Bach (especially the Concerto for Harpsichord in F minor, the one played by Woody Allen in Hannah And Her Sisters: )
**And, to add some vicious street cred to my humble person:**
As you will have realized by now, I have many flaws. But at least I can NOT be accused of being narrow-minded when it comes to music!!
Six things I could never do without
The United States, that sort of thing.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The meaninglessness of life. While chainsmoking and wearing black polo and beret.
On a typical Friday night I am
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't snore. Much.
You should message me if
You like girls with a strong personality.
