My self-summary
Self-summary....hrmmm... Well I am a jill-of-trades with my hand in a number of creative adventures. My joy comes from producing an end result, whether that means harvesting vegetables from my tiny patio garden or crocheting a scarf from raw sheep's wool I cleaned, dyed and spun myself. Crafting is my passion (big surprise with my screen name I'm sure) I love to sew, weave and draw and especially love to cook.

You name it, if it needs a hot glue gun or a needle and thread I could make it. I find a home for my creative outlets in Renaissance Faires, SCA events and nerdy conventions (San Diego Comic Con, Anime California ect.) I am a shameless geek with a love for video games, books and movies on top of all my craftiness.

Oh and long walks on the beach at sunset.. that's what normal people right?
What I’m doing with my life
During the day I work a boring customer service job that pays the rent and helps fund all my creative adventures. At night I am either ankle deep in Pintrest finding inspiration for my next sewing commission or deciding at 2am that I should use up those home grown meyer lemons gifted to me and make some lemon curd from scratch...crap where did all the butter go...does that 24 hour cvs down the road have butter?
I’m really good at
~ Being obnoxiously cheerful
~ Assembling Ikea furniture
~ Knowing more than your average craft store employee
~ Making the moment awkward
The first things people usually notice about me
At the moment people notice the bright turquoise hair. The old ladies love it, the little kids want it and my peers are entirely unfazed and indifferent.

Regardless of hair color, innuendos fall out of my mouth like a waterfall of HR nightmares and often causes eruptions of school children-like giggling.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - Anything from the series of Laurell K. Hamelton, Charlene Harris or Jim Butcher, and of course am a fanatic of the classic of my upbringing Harry Potter. Recently I have discovered a love for audiobooks and am constantly discovering new authors and series.

Movies (in no particular order or relevance just a smattering off the top of my head)- 5th Element, Across the Universe, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Emperor's New Groove, The Producers (old and new), V for Vendetta, Biodome, Sphere, Anything from Miazaki especially Howl's Moving Castle.

Shows - Game of Thrones (I know I need to read the books), Sons of Anarchy, Archer, Dr. Who (still trying to finish the first generations and am totally behind on the current seasons) Bones, CSI Las Vegas, Little Britain, Bob's Burgers, anything with Anthony Bourdain because I have a serious celeb crush on him.

Anime - Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, Mushishi, Ouran Host Club, XXX Holic, Escaflowne. I don't watch as much anime as I did in high school because I am usually watching TV while I am crafting and don't really have the patients to sit down and read the subtitles but I have been pushing myself to watch some of this newer stuff that the kids seem to be into these days.

Music - Everything..really I will try to listen to everything. I lean towards Techno/Dance but I really do love too much to list here. Lately I have been on a female vocal alt kick: Phidel, Florence & The Machine, London Grammar, Marina & The Diamonds, Lana Del Rey, Ingrid Michaelson, Ellie Goulding, Danielle Parente, Noosa.

Food - My favorite food is hands down is anything Asian, Pho, Sushi, Teriyaki, Ramen, Curry (Indian & Thai) BUT I will eat anything once - Try me! I love food in all is formations and I feel like you should never be affraid to try something new. My man-crush says is best:

“I've long believed that good food, good eating, is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure”
― Anthony Bourdain, Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly
Six things I could never do without
In no particular order -
*My sewing maching
*My kitty Arya
*My Thursday bar night - Its my only guaranteed social enjoyment for the week
*Internet Access
*Strong Coffee
I spend a lot of time thinking about
* What am I going to plant/harvest next in my garden
* Did I water yesterday or the day before?
* Where the hell did all my sewing scissors go?
* With all these technological advancements why has no one made an all in one washer/dryer/folder machine?
* How can I make an all in one washer/dryer/folder machine?
* How expensive would it be to go back to school to become an engineer to make a washer/dryer/folder machine
* Did I put two completely different socks on this morning...again?
On a typical Friday night I am
Sitting at my sewing machine watching something on Netflix

Out with friends getting my Rum & Coke on!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am actually somewhat phobic about beach sand yet I love the ocean. I need one of the old school trailers that wheels me out into the water that the Victorians had.

So that whole walk on the beach was a complete lie...
You should message me if
If you can actually compose a thoughtful first message. I don't respond to "Hi my name is blah. have a nice day"

I am not looking for a booty call nor am I looking to have a threesome with you and your husband to spice up your love life.

I am looking for someone who loves creativity and embraces my passion for weirdness.

Also those allergic to cats need not apply unless you intend to invest stock into antihistamines.
