My self-summary
One thing you probably should know about me is I'm as sarcastic as hell, but I honestly mean nothing malicious by it! That's just my sense of humour.

Indeed, some of what I've wrote may make me seem a little cocky to some, but it's just me messing around - don't misunderstand me, I'm a nice guy! Open-minded, non-judgemental & expecting absolutely no more than that from others.

I like to cuddle way more than men are supposed to in this still macho-biased world, but I honestly don't give a fuck! XD

I have a soft spot for the word "unf", both an acronym and an onomatopoeia. Don't know what it means? Look it up... Your reaction to the definition will serve as a good gauge of how you'd react to my sense of humour in general!

Thought not currently actively participating in it myself, I do find the Goth subculture appealing & enjoy the company of Goths. Not that you should take that as meaning I'd not be interested in meeting you if you're not one! I only mention it because I'd like to go to the Whitby Goth Weekend someday soon & would be interested in finding someone to accompany me...

My basic attitude is life is for the living & fun is for the uninhibited.

That said, I don't really believe one can really summarise one's self in some kind of synopsis - a person must be experienced to be understood.

To get a better feel for me, read on - & to get a fuller-still insight of me hit 'Message' once you've read through my whole profile & ask me anything you're curious about - no matter how personal it is, if it's relevant you'll almost certainty get an (at least vague) honest answer.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently, I'm at the University of Brighton in the second year of an Aeronautical Engineering BEng. It's a lot of work, but I am looking forward to getting into the aerospace industry once I graduate (with an emphasis on the space aspect; private satellites, space tourism, etc. being on the rise - pardon the pun - right now).

I'm also volunteering as a Civilian Instructor at the Brighton Air Cadets. I know some people don't agree with the military, but - while no warmonger - I believe that the self-discipline & respect cadet organisations can impart into our youth is a cause well worth my time & support.

I never had the opportunity to be an air cadet as a child myself (not for want of wanting; alas, my parents went for the cotton wool approach to parenting & seemed to think the cadets would be like the first ten minutes of Full Metal Jacket!), so to help the kids there now have as good an experience as possible during their time there gives me a great sense of fulfilment.

Besides that, I am looking for work, but it's a little thin on the ground at the moment; especially for someone with as limited a timetable as I! So, I'm just living the stereotypical shoestring budget student life at the moment!
I’m really good at
I'm a great fan of conversation & seem from personal experience to be the kind of guy that people feel they can (& do) talk to for hours. I enjoy conversing & just listening; basically, I'm a good ear & a good shoulder, if necessary.

I'm good at most things practical & applied - be it manual work (good with my hands, so I'm told...) like mechanics or carpentry - or mental tasks, such as mathematics or design.

I've been told I'm quite good at cooking; not following recipes, just making it up as I go along. I'm quite creative, you'll never have the same experience twice with me...
The first things people usually notice about me
Doubtless varies from person to person; but I'd hope that my friendly, affable nature is always one of the first :-)

A few people have told me that I look like the front-man of a band. I think that has something to do with the way that I carry myself; I don't exactly strut around like I own the place, but I do make an effort to maintain an assertive, "let's get on with it then" attitude to life.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like science, so a lot of the books I read & shows I watch are related to it, but I don't prattle-on about it unless I'm with someone else who's into it!

Aside from that; I like science fiction (yeah, I know, what a shock), comedy, quality drama, and I'll try a little bit of anything else if I think it looks good.

I don't really maintain long-term favourites, just medium-term preferences.

Musically, my preference is for more alternative styles; but that's not to say I only listen to heavy, dark, alternative types of music, even if that does make-up the majority of my collection. I'll listen to anything I find myself enjoying.

I have a vary varied pallet when it comes to food, I'm pretty-much an omnivore!
Six things I could never do without
I'm a man of stoic character - I can't actually think of six things I absolutely couldn't do without (aside from the obvious) - however, I can think of far more than six things I wouldn't want to do without...

I'd say the top six were (in no particular order):

- Good company
- Stimulating conversation
- Variety in my life
- Freedom (of thought, expression, movement, etc.)
- Good food (food in general is a given, like air or water)
- Total honesty (both receiving it and having the right to give it)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Anything & everything.

That's not just a cop-out, I really do. Whatever pops into my head probably won't get back out again without having been thoroughly dissected, analysed, catalogued, & reconstituted!

I'm always thinking about something, then something *else*.

Unfortunately it's all mainly university work at the moment, but I'm open to being given something better to think about!

Go ahead, pick my brains - you'll never get the same answer twice - but, give me a subject & a bit of time to think about it and I'm sure we'll be able to spin a satisfying conversation off of it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Getting my university homework done so I'll have the whole of Saturday & Sunday off for rest & recreation in preparation for the next week of university...

...well, that's the theory, anyway :-P

It'll only work if you're a member of the site - and it's kind of obvious what kind of profile I might have on a site with a name like that - so if you're not already a member and have no interest in joining don't worry about it, as what I reveal there probably wouldn't be relevant to any interactions between us anyway ;-)
You should message me if
you've managed to get this far without hitting 'Hide', 'Report', or incinerating your computer in a ritual cleansing fire and would like to get to know more about me...

Especially if you followed the link I posted above & liked what you saw! Though that is not a requirement ;-)
