My self-summary
I'm Chuck. I design props and help build sets for stage and film productions. I also sing, dance, and act whenever I can. Performance is a big part of my life right now, and I'm always thankful for my opportunities.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm on the board for a society that performs Gilbert and Sullivan operettas twice a year. I can't believe that I've been singing for like 2 years now...

Through that same society, I recently got into designing and building props and sets. I'm doing most of my work pro bono right now, but I'd like to eventually set up a page online with my portfolio and start accepting contracts.

I'm also a GM at a pizza place. I run a staff of ~50 people. The lack of unstructured time is why I maintain this profile, and I get 2 nights off which is really great for what I'm responsible for at work.

I recently bought a bottle of Duke bourbon, which was made to replicate John Wayne's personal bourbon. I got this tip from a cowboy who tended bar at a saloon in the desert.
I’m really good at
starting mosh pits (apparently). I'm also great at travelling on a budget but not feeling like I'm depriving myself of anything.
The first things people usually notice about me
Definitely my hair. Or maybe my personality.

I can be noticed if I want to be, but sometimes I just like to blend in.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I have an extensive collection of movies, and am down to watch pretty much anything. My favorites include Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Pulp Fiction, Dear Zachary, pretty much anything from Christopher Nolan, The Departed, In Bruges, and most dark comedies.
*Surprisingly I liked the new movie Spy, and LOVED Kingsman, if that helps keep this up to date.

Game of Thrones is my masochistic choice of TV show. My favorite things ever on TV were Breaking Bad, Lost, Twin Peaks, The Sopranos, and The X-Files. I'm currently watching Rick and Morty, Ray Donovan, and An Idiot Abroad.

I like a lot of music, depends on what I'm in the mood for. I'm on an MSI inspired, punk/hardcore/industrial bender. I like System of a Down, Tool, Nirvana, Mr. Bungle, The Black Keys, Reel Big Fish, Ke$ha, Deadmau5, Skrillex, Infected Mushroom, even Ravi Shankar. My most frequented radio preset is 107.1, and I'm thinking about the fall already, help me narrow down a new playlist.

My favorite author is Kurt Vonnegut. I also like Joseph Heller's Catch-22. I like reading Tang dynasty poetry from China and Heian Japanese literature. A Song of Ice and Fire series also was fun to read. I also have a Pottermore account because growing up is hard.

I eat a lot of different cuisines, and can cook almost anything I eat. I watch some shows like Bizarre Foods because I like to push my boundaries on strange and wonderful food. I love Vietnamese, Korean, and Indian food when I eat out because I'm still bad at cooking those styles. My strong suits are Italian, Chinese, and French styles, as well as traditional American comfort food.
The six things I could never do without
Challenging Music (both playing and listening).
Hockey (playing more than watching).
My ability to travel.
Ironic humor.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Planets, stars, and the universe. If you've never had your roommate walk into your room at 4:00am and say "Let's go out to a field with the telescope! Venus is visible right now!!" then you don't know what you're missing out on.
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm back to working almost every weekend day! My (factory) Monday rocks though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a re-occurring dream about a restaurant that I'm pretty sure doesn't exist. Every time I try and figure out what this place is based on, I come up with nothing. Maybe one day this place will exist, and I can come up with an answer to why I keep dreaming of it.

I want a tattoo but can't physically handle getting one, so I have to live without.
