My self-summary
I hate these things. Always having to talk about yourself and what makes you so great compared to everyone else. I'm not "special" or "super" or anything like that. I'm an average guy who thinks that chivalry and being a gentleman still matters. Things that are lost to us like them, good cuisine and culinary, the true meaning of honor and other such values should be rediscovered.

I'm a firm believer in self moral codes because of that. Everyone needs a code they can live by. Of course my code is probably different from yours, and yours from someone else's. I think our individuality is a treasure and that should be cherished. Of course there's a lot of other things that are important to and I could probably go on and on and on about all of that. But I think its better to talk about as you get to know someone then write a long essay about.
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I'm trying to figure out the next step in my plans. I'm a planner and want to at least have some vague ideas with where I'm heading. Right now I'm working in the Spirits (read alcohol) industry and I love wine with a passion. Not as in drinking to excess, but in that it has such a great and diverse impact on so many aspects of society.

As such I'm beginning the path to earn a number of certifications related to the wine industry and that's one of my priorities.

Beyond that I'm always looking to learn and live and explore. I'm an adventurer at heart and love to find something new.
I’m really good at
Wine Tasting! No really I am, I do very well at blind tastings and have been told I have a "natural palate."

Beyond that I'm good at logic puzzles, planning, and games. I'm a geek and a nerd and thus love movie trivia and things associated along those lines. Also, this means I'm a gamer. I play tabletop, card, and video games. If this bothers you, I'm sorry but it is who I am and I'm not changing that.

I'm also good at a few other things and am always looking to learn a new skill or trick. It's all about learning, living, and exploring, and that's what I really want to be good at.
The first things people usually notice about me
Ironically its that I'm a "ginger" or a redhead. It's something that I deal with. After that it stays with the physical and go to the freckles I bear. After that I think its my personality, which can come off as weird, and to some standoffish. I tend to be shy off the bat, but will try to warm up to any situation.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Ummm... wow. As a geek/nerd/dork/etc this list is extensive! I am a big fan of a lot of different novels/genres when it comes to book but I always try to steer towards Sci-Fi as my go-to genre with fiction coming in second.

Movies I like the ones with plots and not just action sequences over action sequences. I'll watch a variety of movies but always enjoy the ones that make you think, philosophically, morally, or just what happens next.

For TV I really just go for police procedurals, but not Law & Order. I enjoy NCIS, CSI, Criminal Minds, and the like. I still like what is quickly becoming "classic" television though as well, including some of those 80s tv shows.

Music, I pretty much enjoy everything except hard-core rap these days.

As for food. Well my friends will tell you I'm an annoying person when it comes to food. Working in the food and beverage industry has spoiled me and well, I used to just be the "typical Irishman" of meat and potatoes. Now I'll eat anything, or at least try it once. As for beverage I'm weening slowly off of soda, but will not give up Coffee or alcohol anytime soon. I'm trying to be a connoisseur though and not an alcoholic. Everything in moderation. Well, at least when it comes to TV, food, music... Etc.
Six things I could never do without
1- Coffee. Sorry I gotta have it.
2- A good book. Just a good book. It doesn't have to be perfect.
3- Friends. What is life worth if you have no one to share it with?
4- Vino. So many famous people talk about how important wine is in life. How could they be all wrong?
5- Family. Friends are the family you make for yourself. But the family you're given is just as important.
6- Time for me. Personal reflection and inner thought have helped me out a lot lately. Without it... well things would be sorely, and sadly, different.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future. Not in a bad way, just wondering what is next and how to best prepare for it... and enjoy it.
On a typical Friday night I am
Well it depends! Some Fridays I'm at work as a host at a Wine Tasting event; but when I'm not there I'm always trying to look for some friends to hang out with and do something, anything with. The occasional night in is also found on my personal agenda though. So as with any other day of the week a typical Friday is just another opportunity to live!
You should message me if
- You want to get to know me.
- Think we should connect.
- Want to know about Wine.
- Or any reason you want to (except to be nasty, can we not do that? The Internet has enough of that.)
