My self-summary
I've re-engaged with okc after taking time off from an ended LTR. So here goes...I'm an ENFP, left-handed, athletic, emotionally intelligent, native Chicagoan who at time fantasizes about being a cowboy. I was a bar tender in England, hiked the wilds of the Cascades for a month, worked at Harvard and amazon, now a biz dev director at job I love. Enjoy learning what makes people tick, hearing life stories, preferably in a cozy dive bar. Liberal minded, curious, adventururer. Love the water and finding new places to explore outdoors. Looking for best friend and partner. I have two awesome kids (14/10). Lets be honest, online dating isn't for the faint of heart I'm learning...women are probably swamped with creepers and guys suffer through rejection like we're sitting alone at the lunch table at times. Let's be cool to one another.

Hoping to meet a grounded, kind-hearted, free-spirited woman with passions and interests we can share. I'd love to hear from you.
What I’m doing with my life
Working as PNW biz dev director at a great company where I get to help others expand their careers. Sitting on a non-profit board dedicated to reducing gun violence. Playing in the outdoors. Waiting for you. Throwing the Frisbee with my son. Watching my daughter Irish and modern dance.
I’m really good at
Listening without trying to fix
Being spontaneous
Making my kids laugh until their stomachs hurt
Parallel parking
Coaching sports
Cheering others on
The first things people usually notice about me
Physically - I've been told my broad shoulders. Personality-wise - down to earth and authentic.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Usually listening to KEXP. Love finding new cool music. My staples are Luna, Buffalo Tom, Dylan, Clash, the Dead. Anything that makes me think or thrash out.

I come from a bookish family, always on the hunt for a well written story. Though just read an insightful book on mindfulness. Favorite books include Dharma Bums, Unbroken, Boys in the Boat.

Love sushi.

Favorite Netflix binge was Parenthood a while back. Recently enjoyed Bloodline.

Wish I had time to watch more movies. Just saw Perfect Strangers... Italian movie about a group of friends at a dinner who put their cell phones out for all to see incoming messages and calls. Then everyone's life implodes because it's revealed they're secretly cheating or gay... Recommend.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Will this be the year the Cubs win a World Series! THEY DID IT!!
Why I wasn't given a great singing voice...
What it would be like to be a cowboy...
What a great head of hair my son has....seriously you should see it.
Other people's point of view.
On a typical Friday night I am
Planning a hike, chilling with my kids, recovering from the week, something totally unplanned.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm a sucker for a good pop song.
You should message me if
You feel we'd be a good match and you want to.

You're emotionally available.

You've lived through your pain. We've all been through some form and it sucks. But you can talk about it and/or have grown from it; it hasn't squashed your joy and willingness to have an awesome, healthy relationship.

You are thoughtful and caring but at times you like to just let 'er rip.
