Hi there. Allow me to introduce myself.

I'm an easy going, kind, laid back, go with the flow kind of guy. I'm the type of guy that can laugh at himself when he has done something stupid. I like the great outdoors and exploring it. I love the beach and am always looking for an excuse to have some fun in the sun. I like to exercise and be active.

Once you get to know me you'll find that I am a very loyal, open, trusting person that believes in looking after those in your life and treating them with respect, trust, honesty and integrity. As a friend I"ll always have your back and will always have time for you. As a lover you will be loved with what I can explain as a "pure white light". (that's not to say I'm boring. I have a naughty side too).

Yes, I admit it. I'm a geek and proud of it. I like all things geekery. I find science, math and computers interesting and easy (don't ask me about the Kardashians or Paris as I wouldn't have a clue). I like to continually learn and expand my horizons. While I can indulge in my pursuits, I'm also looking for a partner in crime that I can have some adventures / get into trouble with.

As a free spirit I have looked into the different types of personality traits. I have discovered that I have a wolf totem, am a chinese wood tiger, a typical virgo and a classic Myers Briggs ISTJ. It was an interesting journey.
What I’m doing with my life
Don't be scared off but I'm a qualified Civil Engineer currently studying a Degree in Project Management. I am also studying lay psychology, neurology and business communication methods / styles. I also find time for recreation and relaxing too.
I’m really good at
Hmmmm what to say.... I'm good at being me.

I'm good at problem solving and figuring things out. (I'm a practical person that knows how to assemble Ikea furniture).

As a former gym trainer and aerobics instructor I'm good at transforming bodies, fixing sporting injuries and changing / improving peoples quality of life. I enjoy helping people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Hmmmm where to start...... Some of the answers below shouldn't surprise you.

I'm pretty much open to anything. For takeout I'll normally go chinese or pizza. I have an interest in thai. I often do stirfrys. I love indian and chilli and will try to get/cook them when I can. I love chocolate and cheesecakes. Yum

I have a broad taste in music but I'll tell you upfront that I don't do country. My taste ranges from top 40 to dance to eurotechno to heavy metal/death metal to instrumental to african to classical to jazz to blues to irish. I enjoy musical displays that show talent/skill while at others I like the feel of the bass.

I'm bit of a bookworm so I'll keep it short. I'll read fantasy, mystery, thriller, horror, sci-fi, puzzles, general fluff, stephen hawking, self help and psychology/neurology stuff.

I like my movies. Big science fiction/fantasy fan. I also like action, drama, comedy, thriller, martial arts, anime, horror and documentary. I'll even do the odd chick flick.

They pretty much parallel the movies. At the top is Big Bang Theory and Mythbusters but I'll also watch science, engineering, lifestyle, cooking and educational stuff too. Theres always room for cartoons.
Six things I could never do without
* My sheepskin rug. I like how its so soft and squishy when you bury your toes into it and scrunch them.

* The ocean for two reasons. 1. When I swim in the ocean I like the feel of the water flowing over my body, the power of the wave under you and the sound of bubbles going past my ears. (you don't get that in a pool) and 2. The freedom you get when you catch a wave, glide down its face and run your fingers along the top. Pure bliss. (Its a simpler life out there. Just you, the waves and your surfboard. Nothing else matters).

* My health. In the early to mid 90's I lost 40kg and have managed to keep the bulk of it off since. I gained a better quality of life and could do so many new things. Afterwards I turned into a fitness freak. This spawned my fitness career and my passion to help people and make a difference.

* Music. I find music calming as I enjoy the melody. Predominantly if its instrumental and has some talent behind it. I don't need to have it loud. Sometimes I can have it playing in the background as white noise when I'm doing something. Other times I like the feel of the beat. I normally have some form of music playing in my head.

* My mind. I know it sounds arrogant but I love the way my mind works, how it solves things, how it draws relationships between things, how I view, process and connect with the world. It sort of makes me who I am as a person. I'd be devastated if I got alzheimers or dementia.

* I'm yet to have this one but someone to share my life with. Someone that balances and compliments me. Someones yin to my yang. Someone who understands me. Lifes too long to spend alone. I'd like someone who was my best friend. Someone to share moments with. Someone to cuddle with and to hold in the good times and the bad. Someone I can share and explore lifes journey with. I think you get the gist....
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about a lot of things. People and the natural world intrigue me (I like to find the relationships between things).
Mostly I live in the moment.
On a typical Friday night I am
Here's the part where I'm supposed to say I head out with my friends, party hard and dance the night away.

Sorry but clubs aren't my scene and as for drinking I drink to enjoy the taste and the drink itself. Getting pissed has never made sense to me.

So on a typical Friday I'm normally curled up in front of the telly watching a movie and eating take-out. (It would be nice to have someone to snuggle with).

As I am at peace with myself it doesn't take much to make me happy. (I can find joy in the simple things).

* I'm interested if you have a healthy mind, body and look after yourself. (That is not an absolute criterion but it helps).
* I'd like to get to know you as a person and intellectually (I'd like to be challenged). (Looks help but they fade over time. Whats inside a person counts).
* I'm not interested in superficiality and plastic people.
* Someone that's transcended materialism. (Yes its nice to have nice things but does it make you a better person or make you truly happy? {Its a function of want verses need verses desire}) True happiness comes from within.
* Someone that is a free spirit and is not too hung up on themselves.
* Someone with an open mind
* Someone that likes the outdoors and the beach (if you can surf that's a bonus).
* Someone I can get into trouble with
* If you are part geek, that would be interesting.
* You don't need to have the same interests as me. You are free to have your own interests and enjoy them. (I don't need you in my pocket all the time). (I believe its healthy to have diversity and to have share time, individual time and down time).
* I'm not interested in slothful, lazy people.
