My self-summary
Complex fun person with many interests, passionate and busy but not workaholic. Irreverent sense of humor; you will like me if you don't take yourself too seriously either. In my work, I can be professional and productive, creative and caring. I have strong feelings about progressive politics. I've lived all over the world, I'm educated and continue to be curious. Love dancing, art, making art (photography, mixed media, film-making), being with children, swimming, reading, being sensual and sexual, doing improv, films, live theater. Would love to have a co-conspirator to share adventure, intimacy, and questions we will never hope to answer.

You might say I'm an explorer, since I love learning new things, both about the world, and the interior landscape of our minds and souls. So I'm looking to love and be loved by someone special who has a lot of courage and spunk - squeezing the juice out of life and also lying sweetly side by side at day's end. But until that evolves, lovely new and interesting friends and lovers who come my way are also welcome. I am, like many people, attempting to grow in important ways and do creative work, so I enjoy mutual support.
What I’m doing with my life
Working at several things, including creative endeavors, and keeping in touch with two grown children. When the weather is warm enough, I swim in the bay, which is pretty glorious. Professionally, I'm writing, making videos, and training & consulting on recovering from fundamentalist religions. A new screenplay has me pretty excited. I try to commit to projects that will make the world a better place and are also fun and challenging for my creative side. More travel is important too; the next major trip will probably be to south China where I have family history. I still speak a little Mandarin from growing up in Taiwan.
I’m really good at

Six things I could never do without
loving, swimming, dancing, dreaming, pushing limits, questioning, creating
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Seriously? what kind of a world my children will be living in fifty years from now, how the brain works, evolutionary psychology, the illusion of "self" and being multiples, the power of sex, the quest for a theory of everything, the beauty of fractals and quantum mechanics, Schrodinger's Cat (yes, I got carried away there but I do enjoy mind-boggling science). I'm also busy saving the world from fundamentalism so that's a big job. and why does a Ph.D. have so much ADD? I've been told that if I were organized I'd be dangerous. I guess it's just as well then.
On a typical Friday night I am
At a movie, swimming, spending time with friends, out to a play. . . any number of things
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm an open book once you get to know me.
You should message me if
You have lots of brain, heart, and libido - all three. (I'm not asking for much :-) Extra points if you have spent time outside the U.S. as more than a tourist and have a progressive (leftist) social consciousness. But. . . that doesn't mean we can't relax and get silly, sensuous, or even wild and crazy. :-) If you'd smile at a sign reading, "Honk if you don't get the irony in all of this," I would like that.
The two of us
