In the last few years I've come to think of my various alter egos and personality facets as entirely different entities. This isn't strictly the case, but it's how I compartmentalise them and keep them clear in my head. I'm sorry if that's confusing.
So. Once upon a time there was a child who played with some make-up. It felt really awesome, so they kept doing it in private. Then they accidentally forgot to remove it all, and went to school with long, dark eyelashes, and spent many years being horribly embarrassed by the whole thing. Then, that child was a teenager, and was a bit of a goth. . . and somewhere amongst all the poet shirts, big boots and spiked collars, some distant memory clicked, and that person started buying dresses and cool neon fence-net tights, and all sorts of stuff.
These days, when I get the opportunity, I like really flouncy dresses (think maids' dresses, EGL and Sweet Lolita stuff); latex and tight-fitting things even though they suit me not a jot; and cute shoes and accessories. I like bold make-up colours and over-the-top eyeliner and lips, so I've got a large bag stuffed with all that sort of thing, and I can't really get by without wigs and corsets, so they're stuffed into my dressing-up box, too.
I think everybody should be able to dress the way they like, and be left to mind their own business, and I am always awed and inspired by people who have the confidence to strut their stuff in public. I am a bit of a wuss in that regard, and sort of half-way to being in Narnia. That is to say, I'm in the closet, but a few close friends and confidantes know about the whole "dressing up thing".
I'm a sucker for fantasy stuff, but it's got to have a compelling flow to it, and be reasonably well-written. I really, really love Ursula K le Guin's Earthsea books, Patrick Rothfuss' Kingkiller Chronicle, grandpa Tolkien's work in it's entirety (except the dog story), anything by Neil Gaiman, and George "The Killer of Characters" R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire, as a little sample.
That's a broad question. Here are three: The Fifth Element, The Thirteenth Warrior, Princess Mononoke.
Game of Thrones, Jessica Jones, Rome, Misfits, Chobits, High School of the Dead, School Rumble, Inuyasha...
I'm a dyed in the wool folkie! But I'll admit I like cheesy 90s pop songs, I have a moderate obsession with Goldfrapp, soundtracks from classic RPG games, and I'm getting into vocaloid recently... *shrugs*
Food is great, isn't it! I love a good burger, a medium-spicy curry, and Thai food. I'm also quite a good cook!
1. A sharp razor.
2. A selection of makeup.
3. An awesome EGL style dress, or other get-up.
4. High heels (I like 5" or more, platform or pumps)
5. False boobie inserts (less essential, but more fun!)
6. Nail polish or false nails.
