My self-summary
I'm a thirty something year old who goes back and forth between loving the city and wanting to run off to a beach town and do yoga all day. I'm outgoing and often smiling (once the coffee makes its way fully into my system). My job, my family, and my friends make me incredibly happy and now I'm looking for the last piece of the puzzle. I am ready to find someone who I connect with, who pushes me to be my best, and who makes all the dating struggles worth it.
What I’m doing with my life
I've been a school social worker for 8 years. Worked in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn for 5 years and now I've found a home working in East Harlem. I absolutely love what I do. I've worked with elementary and middle school kids and they are endlessly funny and inspiring. Plus I've heard every excuse in the book. Twice.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh, being a smart ass, listening and recently- cooking. I still can't believe it myself. I'm also good at planning. I love planning things, even when things don't go as planned. It makes me feel like I have some kind of semblance of control over this crazy thing called life.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love to read. Some favorites are the Great Gatsby, Nightfall, and The Game of Thrones series. Also Harry Potter. I've read the series twice. I'll probably read it again one day.

Movies: Major League, The Godfather, Shakespeare in Love, and Inside Out- best thing to happen to child therapists ever.

TV shows: New Girl, Parks and Recreation, Friends, A Different World, Jessica Jones, GoT, Insecure (for now)

I love all kinds of music ranging from Broadway, to Sara Bareilles, to Eminem.

I also love most food, especially Italian. And dessert. Any kind.
Six things I could never do without
My family, making people laugh, music, books, dessert, and my friends. Oh and yoga. And traveling. Six is hard. I don't like this kind of pressure.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where to travel to next. Why the world is the way it is. How I can help. What TV show to binge watch next. What to eat. You know, the usual.
On a typical Friday night I am
At a happy hour unwinding from a long week. Or in my sweats watching Netflix with a glass of wine. And getting excited to go to sleep.
You should message me if
You are tired of trying to meet people out at bars and are willing to try something new.
You actually want to meet up at some point and see what happens.
And you think you can make me laugh.
