My self-summary
Software engineer with a creative streak. I'm always looking for something new; Go on a new adventure, meet new people, learn something new.
What I’m doing with my life
Since I'm on the leading edge of technology in my career, and I want to stay there, a lot of my time goes towards learning and implementing automation concepts. The rest goes towards making connections with strangers and getting back into shape, now that my knee is mostly recovered.
I’m really good at
Learning! I once thought that if I could be in school for life I would be happy, but now I know that school and learning aren't the same thing.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height and my smile. Followed quickly by the way I talk a thousand words a second when I'm excited.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I go through books so fast that its hard to list favorites.. Right now I'm reading

- Hallucinations by Oliver Sacks
- The Swerve by Stephen Greenblatt
- Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie

I like all the normal shows; Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Daily Show with Trevor Noah, Weekly Show with John Oliver, etc. But I don't really worship them, they just play in the background while I do other things.
The six things I could never do without
I'm going to rewrite this question to 'if you were stuck on a desert island with infinite tasteless food, bland shelter and no luxuries what are six things you would bring with you' (Cause it makes more sense)

In that case I'd add;
- My friends
- Books
- Board games
- A computer
- The internet (feels like cheating)
- Strangers
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How everything impacts everything else, and how we can all make things better with minimal effort.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends either at the movies, the gun range, playing board games or in a coma, recovering from another 60+ hour week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm emotionally black-and-white, once someone loses my trust it is incredibly hard to win back.
You should message me if
Do it, what's the worst that can happen?
