My self-summary
I'm the youngest in the family -- youngest of 3 with two older sisters. So I grew up watching romantic comedies, because the youngest never gets the remote. I can only assume that I would be in the NFL by now had I been given the opportunity to watch more manly television, but instead I got Meg Ryan.

The guys I fall for are the unexpected: the ones who throw me off, challenge me, annoy me, make me want to be better and do better. I'm a sucker for witty banter, intellectual debates, romantic gestures, spontaneous trips... This is what too many romantic comedies will do to you.

I try not to take the whole internet dating thing too seriously and I'm happy to have fun and take things slow -- but I'm also realizing lately I'm at a point where I'd be ready for a partner, if the right guy came along.
What I’m doing with my life
I recently left my long-time job as CTO of a tech/media company that I started back in college, and now I'm just kicking off a new project in indoor farming and agtech.

I'm a fairly serious pianist, a decent cook (went to culinary school in Italy a few years back) and a total foodie. I just started climbing (I'm still pretty bad at it), and I'm trying to get back into CrossFit.

I love exploring San Francisco and all it has to offer -- finding great restaurants, fun concerts, interesting street fairs -- though I'm equally happy at home with Netflix and Indian delivery...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: A few that NetFlix reports I have given five stars: Moulin Rouge, Wall-E, Groundhog Day, The Muppets Take Manhattan, Life is Beautiful, Dead Poets Society, The Lord of the Rings, Sleepless in Seattle, American Beauty, Newsies, Back to the Future, Mr. Holland's Opus

Books: Favorite childhood book was The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Favorite recent book was Ready Player One.

TV: The West Wing (I was in an episode on season 4!), Please Like Me, Friday Night Lights, Chef's Table, Macgyver...

Food: I'll eat pretty much anything. I love trying new restaurants, and will happily blow money on a great meal. I'm always a sucker for a tasting menu, particularly if it comes with paired wines... I've also been trying to cook more recently.
You should message me if
...you'd like to get coffee or a drink. I'd rather meet and see if there's any chemistry than try to guess from a bunch of photos and an algorithm.
