My self-summary
Listen, you don't want to get involved with someone like me. I'm bad. I'm nothing but trouble. Okay, I'm like, 4% trouble.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a writer. I do most of my work with a partner; we write excellent TV pilots.

I also just started learning to sky dive. I started out just thinking I'd try it once, but now I've gotten to the level where the next time you jump, you jump on your own. Some of my friends have said that this seems "out of character." That's why I do it! Actually, that's why I do a lot of stupid things.
I’m really good at
Chili, ribs, and risotto. Omelets are more of a work in progress.
The first things people usually notice about me
I guess maybe my smile? At least, that's usually what people compliment when they say nice things about the way I look, which they do, non-stop, all the time. So, if you tell me you like my smile, I'll privately be thinking "well, you're only human." But if you tell me I have sexy ears, I'm yours.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Deadwood, Breaking Bad, Fringe, Parks and Recreation, Louie. TV on the Radio. Gilead is a book I re-read. I like most of the movies by the Coen brothers, Robert Altman, Andrew Bujalski.... I like a lot of the food that I make myself, but if I'm eating out I think more expensive things taste better. Not in a sophisticated kind of way, but more like I'm just conditioned to prefer the more expensive sandwich.
On a typical Friday night I am
3/1/13 - This was sort of a planned bonding ritual between me and my new roommate, who's a friend of my other roommate, who is himself kind of new. She seems great, and also she brought like a dump truck worth of furniture and knick knacks with her so that now our apartment no longer looks like a place that was recently fled by con artists. Now I have scented candles in my living room. And also shelves.

Anyway, the new roommate works at this kind of place where they sell boutique coffee and pickles but also vintage candy, the type of place that as I'm describing to you you might guess is in Silverlake, probably near the Trader Joes. And that's where it is. They had a tasting of some new products, and all the employees got to come and bring a +1, so that was me. Anyway, most of the other +1s were not "roommates on planned bonding rituals" so that was a little strange, but all in all it was a good time. The fried chicken was great, you should try it.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've been away from New York so long, I've forgotten half the subway map. Please don't tell anyone in Brooklyn.
