My self-summary
Trifling loafer ne'er do well masquerading as a driven, responsible entertainment professional.

I live in a camper van; mostly on the east side. Yes, you just read that. No, I'm not grappling with mental illness or a drug problem. Yes, I'm saving a ton of money for a house. No, saving money is not the point of this excercise. Yes, I have some serious qualms with LA's brand of consumerist culture. After spending a decade building a comfortable career, I'm prioritizing travel and focusing on simple living before marriage and kids happen.
What I’m doing with my life
Soaking up sunshine. A little yoga.

Exploring the southwest. Figuring out how things work. Photography. Urban archeology.

Backpacking, reading, and walking the dog. Learning new skills.
I’m really good at
...viewing life as some sort of absurdist stage performance. I'm seldom serious and always entertained.
The first things people usually notice about me
Blue eyes. Good posture.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Lots of fruits and veggies, and a little meat. Any place that has a salsa bar. Places described on Yelp as having "surly employees." Greasy spoons next to train tracks.

Movies. Yes. I'm a geek. My informal film eduction was in the new wave. I'm also a fan of 80s/90s cheesy movies and low budget Mystery Science Theater films. Trailer Park Boys.

I'm a fan of Tolstoy, Steinbeck, Jack London, Henry Miller, Hemingway. Really, I'm really a fan of any irresponsible bloated drunk with a penchant for travel and a critical viewpoint of America.

Music. Mostly folksy shit and stuff your dad listens too. Also music the Prussian aristocracy was rocking out to when snuff was en vogue and the British referred to the world as its dominion. I'm open to all sorts of music EXCEPT WORLD MUSIC. I mean, give me a fucking break.
Six things I could never do without
All of life is about removal of desire. Am I serious?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where we are going as a civilization... And wondering how the next one will remember us.

Time paradoxes.

Where my dog put his ball.
On a typical Friday night I am
Eating oysters, watching the sunset. Camping out somewhere. Watching bands. Laughing with friends into the night. Bonus points for a bonfire.
You should message me if
You have grownup skills and don't sweat the small stuff. Bonus points for common sense, dignity, and good judgement.
