My self-summary
Howdy! I'm David.

I have a non-glamorous job lifting heavy things and operating machinery that sucks up a lot of my free time, but it pays the bills. When I'm not working, I'm probably relearning how to play the piano (jazz and classical) or exercising or driving to Halifax or listening to CBC radio or spending way too much time reading tumblr. I really like cooking for people, and I'll be attending culinary school in 2014. After culinary school, I'd like to go back to university and pursue degrees in women's/gender studies.

I'm kind of an activist and prefer to be actively engaged in my community and the world around me.
What I’m doing with my life
Thinking long-long-term, I'd like to work with young people, and educate them on issues of consent, gender, and sexuality.
I’m really good at
Interior decorating.

Making a mean cupcake.

Building houses... in The Sims.

Communicating openly, directly, and honestly. About anything. Sex, politics, activism, dreams, hopes, aspirations, academics.

Being a dorky weirdo.

Sight-reading music for the piano.
The first things people usually notice about me
People notice me when they least expect it. Then bam!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like tabouli and kimchee and bad horror fiction and alien movies and hannibal and warsan shire and dance music.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Social and economic justice. Interesting combinations of tastes and textures. Songs I'd like to learn to play on the piano. How to own up to my privilege(s). Sexuality and gender and kink and romance and relationships and the complex connections between them all. Subversive anti-capitalism.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I harbor inappropriate feelings about Matt Damon.
You should message me if
We have anything in common. Or if you want to make out like teenagers. Or you think I'd be fun to talk to. Or if you like the cut of my jib, sailor. You don't even have to have a reason. I tend to prefer spending time with people who approach things from a feminist/GSM-positive standpoint, but it's all good as long as you're kind and open-minded.

I'm honestly just looking for someone I can hang out and be weird with.
