My self-summary
Hi there,

I am a Winnipeg transplant who moved to Toronto just over a year ago. I’m really enjoying what this city has to offer; if there’s something I want, or want to do, there is a place to get/do it. Most recently I took a hula hoop class, which was amazing (it’s impossible to be in a bad mood while hula hooping with a group of awesome ladies).

I really value trying and learning new things. I am consistently trying to be a better person and I tend to gravitate toward likeminded people. Overall I value intelligent, mindful, playful and considerate people and although I appreciate education, I know you don't need a degree to be smart.

I am into crafty things. I sew, knit, bake and cook. In the summer I get around town on my bike. Each year I aspire to ride through the winter, but I always chicken out in December and January.

I have a road bike and enjoy long rides and am hoping to do the Niagara Gran Fondo next September.
What I’m doing with my life
Trying to be a better person.
I’m really good at
Making things.
The first things people usually notice about me
My dentist says I have lovely teeth.
My close friends describe me as adorable (their words, not mine).
My doctor says I'm quite healthy and that I have surprisingly good lung capacity.
But really, you'll have to judge for yourself.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I am currently reading some George R. R. Martin. I like Douglas Coupland (who I met once and had an awesome conversation about Malibu Rum and gatorade), Cory Doctorow, Robert Kirkman, Brian Wood. I also read a fair amount of popular fiction (i.e. the Hunger Games), It’s the librarian in me.

Lumineers, Radiohead, The Gossip, Sigur Ros, Stars, Deers, Royksopp, Mr. Scruff and many more

The Big Lebowski, O’Brother Where Art Thou, Pulp Fiction, Moonrise Kingdom (anything Tarantino, Coen Brothers and Wes Anderson) Tree of Life, The Assassination of Jesse James and many others.

The Wire, Breaking Bad, Twin Peaks, Board Walk Empire, Dexter

Ethiopian, Sushi, Indian, Thai
I love going out for breakfast!!!
The six things I could never do without
The sun
On a typical Friday night I am
I always start by going to yoga, then maybe I'll go for dinner/drinks/a movie/ something else or nothing else.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I agree with John Waters!
You should message me if
You wanna ride bikes and have a picnic on the island this summer, or you think I'm neat.
