My self-summary
Writing myths, drinking rose, playing guitar-- educated, a global citizen. I like art and music, and I love to learn. I sometimes sing beautiful sad songs, and laugh a lot. An exquisite life. A true Rock and Roller. Sort of hippieish~ based on the punk DIY ethic. Into spiritual practice and the knowledge that comes with it. Oh yes, I have two kids, a boy and a girl! Love being a mom. . .
What I’m doing with my life
Making music. Trying to get to bed on time. Cooking and Baking and those types of things. Meditation. And Yoga. I write for 2 magazines, and put out uplifting spiritual music. Ascap etc!
I’m really good at
not following a recipe.
The first things people usually notice about me
sparkle. . . . and maybe the gap between my front teeth.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Spiritual books, autobiographies to inspire, like mystics, regular people and girl rock bios. (reading Carrie Brownstein from Sleater Kenny now). Kim Gordon's bio, and Viv Albertine's too.
All the Light You Cannot See last fiction book. It was great.
Punk poetry, world groove and KIRTAN move me. Love my friends who make music, write poetry, perform plays and author books. Food: Whole Healthy and CLEAN. Transparent on netflix...
The six things I could never do without
Rock N' Roll .
Yoga Practice.
A top notch pot of tea.
Krishna Das and so forth
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I want to make the world a better place. I think about how to raise my children to be active in the world, and to help others. I think about how to consume less, and new paradigms for the future. I'm always thinking about personal integrity and how to live a dignified life. Also looking up chords and lyrics for old Sisters of Mercy songs, and flipping them acoustic. And God. Always on my mind. . . .
On a typical Friday night I am
Baking challah and having shabbat with my friends and family. Or at Ethiopian Diamond jamming out to the food and live music that starts at a very reasonable hour. King Spa? Oh that's on Mondays. . .
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
uh uh. . .
You should message me if
I like exceptional people. Intelligent and highly creative. Healthy for sure. And north siders, Evanston friendly folks only.
Just say hi!
