My self-summary
What can i say...My name is Dave and i graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a BA in photography back in March of 09'.
Im a big mix of different things, a nerd, a geek, a redneck, whatever you want to consider me is fine by me. I just do what i do. I am me.
Otherwise I guess I'm just a good down to earth guy. I have a lot of respect for family, I'm very close with mine and don't know what I would be without them. Its just unfortunate that i have no family in PA, most of them live in NY where I am from. I continue to live away from my family because this is where my work is, where all of my college friends and professional contacts are, where i feel i can be financially secure.
I tend to run out of things to talk about, but if given a good topic I'll gladly tell you anything you want to know. But otherwise I tend to be kinda quiet. It's just the way I am, if I'm not talking I'm either listening or thinking. Usually thinking, either about my next creative project, or going over a stubborn repair, or upcoming events.
I love to ride my bike, I'll ride it for miles and miles if I have the time. I actually prefer to ride it rather than drive if possible.

I am happy, creative, and energetic
What I’m doing with my life
Working, working, and working some more.
I manager a camera repair business, which i absolutely love. I am constantly surrounded by cameras of all types. Though most of my day is spent doing paperwork and listing things on ebay.
On the side i run my own business as a watchmaker. Like camera repair, it is a dying trade, so i do my best to keep it alive. And i can proudly say that i am the only watchmaker the Pittsburgh area under the age of 45, maybe even the entire state. And I'm self taught!

When i do have some time to myself i spend it as a prominent member of the Steel City Steam Society, which is a Steampunk group. If you don't know what Steampunk it, please take the time to look into it.
We get together fairly regularly, with some kind of event or theme. Its always fun explaining to people that no, we are not actors, magicians, performers, or whatever people might think we are doing. We just simply enjoy dressing the way that we do.
We have a wonderful group where everyone is very accepting and spending time together is never boring.

Ive been playing with the same DnD group for about 3 years now, playing every other week on tuesday nights. I love table top games in general.

I was keeping up a blog, trying to do a picture of day thing since I moved back but its quickly fallen apart since i work so much. I need to keep my camera in my car or something, im failing at a picture a day, how sad. It's a good way to learn about me though.
I’m really good at
Photography of course. Its what i love to do and i couldnt imagine my life without it.

I am also very good with small things, which is why i paint models and repair watches.

That and im good with kids. I love children and i look forward to the day that i can be a dad, im just not going to rush into it.
The first things people usually notice about me
is that i pretty much always have a smile on my face. Im a very upbeat guy. Not much gets me down.
My photos do not reflect this however, as I am very self conscious of my teeth. I have a hard time posing a smile for photos.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Ill read just about anything i can get my hands on. If i have the free time ill sit down and read for hours if i dont drag myself away. I do like the work of Italo Calvino and Ray Bradbury, but I'm not one to stick with just a few specific authors.
Movies is about the same, ill watch anything thats interesting especially if its based off of a book.
And music is what i really love. I love rock, especially stuff from the 90's.
The six things I could never do without
My family...I don't know what i would do without them.
My friends...many of whom are practically family. I have friends all over the world in high and low places.
My computer...for keeping track of said friends, haha.
My ipod...I am incapable of going a day without listening to music.
My car...with all the people I know and places i like to frequent, not having a car would be disabling.
My camera...should be obvious.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything. I have a great imagination and i like to take walks just so that i can let my mind wander. You never know what might pop into my head.
On a typical Friday night I am
Up at a gaming store called Legions, I go pretty much every friday night to hang out and play some tabletop games.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't have a spleen!
I lost it in an accident and its a good story.
You should message me if
Message me for any reason at all, to ask me a question, tell me off, you want to go shooting together, maybe your curious as to the internal workings of a pocket watch, whatever you want. I try to answer anything sent my way.
