**Update - I have recently arrived in London. Looking forward to meeting new friends/partner(s)/generally cool people!**
I'm an Canadian expat who has spent the past couple years living in Paris, and then a few years after that in Gothenburg (Sweden), but is now living London working as a Game Designer.
I am creative, open minded, kinky, fun-loving, quick to smile and slow to anger. Most who know me well would likely say that I am protective and caring towards those around me, but it can sometimes be tricky for me to let my guard down around people - despite my laid back demeanor and "open book" personality.
When it comes to choosing my friends, I am rather picky. I realize that for an expat this probably isn't the best tactic, but I am the sort to keep people at a distance, or let them in all the way with little in the way of middle ground, so I prefer to be selective.
With that said however, I am very easy to get along with and always up for an adventure with new friends. After all, how better to figure someone out than by doing exciting things with them? :D
Beyond all that, I have a serious passion for photography. I love to shoot, and try to learn more about it everyday. If possible (and if i remember first thing in the morning) I bring my camera out with me every day, since you never know what you might find.
Also, for those still reading, I am in fact married to lireale. We are in a non-monogamous / poly relationship, which is happy and healthy. If you don't know that this means, I'll be happy to talk about it with you as best I can. The short story, I'm not looking for random hookups. I am looking to make friends and let the chips fall where they may.
This should go without saying; All new friends need be open-minded about other ways of life, regardless of their own. ;)
If this is something that freaks you out, thats fine, it takes all kinds. But instead of messaging me to tell me you dont like my lifestyle, lets save each other the stress and part ways now. I have no interest in trying to change your ways to match mine, if what your doing works for you and isn't harming anyone else then all the power to you, all I ask is the same consideration. :)
To wrap up, for those still reading, here are a few "-isms" to help you key on on who I am. I strongly identify with transhumanism and antitheism, believe secularism is always a good idea, err on the side of nihilism and generally preferhedonism whenever possible. :)
As for the rest, well, I'm living the dream! (or, well, my dream at least). I've been working as a designer for years now, designing video games, and it has taken me all over the world.
Of course there is always room for more, but all in due time!
I am always on the lookout for opportunities to pursue my love of photography (especially when it comes to taking freelance assignment work, I miss getting assignments to shoot concerts). Those who know me know that I tend to have trouble shutting up about photography once I get going on it.
Last but not least, I constantly dream of traveling. I secretly would love to be a war photographer or traveling photojournalist, as it suits my spartan mindset, but I know that is only a dream. I can't wait for what my next big adventure will be, though I am not sure where it will be yet. I would love to go back to Morocco, I'd go in a heartbeat, and I really want to go to Antarctica. It seems I have a fetish for extreme places, which is fitting, as I know full well I have a personality of extremes.
My last big trip was to the arctic circle to visit Longyearbyen in Svalbard. It was amazing.
Design! I love it, every aspect and discipline. I would love to meet some industrial designers and learn more about their world of design.
I'm not really good at it yet, but I think i am starting to get pretty decent at photography. Feel free to take a peek at my flickr photostream
Also, recovering from severe bodily harm! (see x-ray in my profiles photos)
P.S - Sarcasm.

I don't see a reason to be out if I don't want to be, or in if I have the urge to wander. Though if I am wandering, I am without a doubt wandering with my camera. :)
... you want a partner in crime to explore each and every secret hidden part of London with.
... you live a few hours from London by train and have a comfy couch and would like an occasional weekend visitor to explore your neck of the woods with! :D
... you laughed when you read these comics:
... you understand that spelling, grammar, punctuation and sentence structure are all good things, but also don't lose your mind at the occasional typo.
... you want someone to talk about zany ideas with, without fear of being judged for them.
... you love photography (you don't have to be good mind you, just love it!) and could use another partner to go shooting with when the light is at its best (or when there is hardly any light to spare!).
... you love being in front of the camera! I love to take portraits.
... you read something in my profile and had no idea what I was going on about. Let's talk about it!
... you have read all the way down to here. If you are here, you are already hooked! ;)
