I have been in Toronto for about 6 years now, and really love it. Sometimes my TTC-rage and inability to cross the road without taking your life in your hands gets to be a bit too much, but I am always happy when I get back to the city.
I am starting off the new year with a fresh look, new energy and an open mind. I am hoping to make this a most stellar year for both my life, my career, my home life, and well if it is in the cards, love life.
This year I have started joining a bunch of social groups from meditation to board games, to walking clubs, exercise clubs, and hoping to get out there, try new things and meet a ton new people.
Essentially my career goals are to build on my current role at the law firm I currently work at, and grow in knowledge management and corporate marketing. It is currently a really small niche that is quickly growing. It is an exciting and ever changing field. I am more then happy to explain what that is (if you are not sure!!)
I really like meeting new people, seeing how they tick, what makes them happy. With friends and partners I strive to find things that make them feel love, and exploit that so that they feel loved, accepted and secure. It is always a challenge, but its a fun challenge.
Another thing I am kind of good at, is I always strive to work on personal development. I have really taken that to heart in this new year, and some really awesome things have come from it!
TV wise, again, love CSI type shows, very little realty TV (usually enough so I can talk about them intelligently around the water cooler at work), love, love. love home reno shows (even though I have never really done any home renos)
But I feel those are somewhat relative I suppose.
I sometimes have trouble falling asleep, so I tend to worry and thing about stuff a lot while I should be sleeping, it is kind of frustrating!!! Meditation usually helps!!!
Weekends though, are made for going out, doing something active, trying something new.....maybe even a bit of dancing
