My self-summary
Disclaimer: I realize that women in our culture get bombarded by men, thus I've decided to not add to that and not initiate in this space. I will not bother you on this site unless you message me first. I've sent 100's of messages and rarely hear back, anyway, so it's probably better for me to just not add to the piles of unwanted messages.

I'm a storyteller who loves creative...anything. I'm a thinker, a lover, and sometimes a goofball. I think there's a time for silliness and a time for seriousness, and life is all about finding the right balance for yourself at the right moments.

I care about openness and honesty above all else. I'm open to all sorts of things and people, and intentionally try to surround myself with people from different backgrounds and interests. I couldn't tell you exactly what I'm looking for in a partner because I'm not looking for a checklist; I have the capability to love and be attracted to all sorts of people, and pretty much nothing on this dating site's "formula" of factors is concrete or set in stone. Real people are more complex than that.

I feel people are more complex than yes/no answers to questions.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm currently working on various creative works and a 30-40 hour week retail job. >_>;
My current project is a novel and game adaptation of my fanmade sequel to Life is Strange.

You can find all of my fiction, fan and original, here:
I’m really good at
Writing, talking, loving, thinking, caring...
I love storytelling -- I am a storyteller and I love analyzing how different forms of media can express things about the human condition. I'm big into video games, but my life doesn't revolve around them. I care about people and conversations more then any form of media, and while I do love media and analyzing it, not everything needs to be serious.

I am good at being honest, open, and communicating and expressing my thoughts and feelings. I'm very self-aware, but I've also been through a lot of abuse, neglect, and abandonment. Everyone's got issues, but I'm very aware of my own and, most of the time, know how to manage them. I have yet to be able to find someone who I can balance out who balances me, though...

I discovered in 2015 that I'm bi/pan, I really feel more agender as a human being than 'male', and my main practice is writing fiction from a female perspective, usually about non-white, often queer characters. I care a great deal about media breaking out of this 'straight-white-male' mold and being more evocative and expressive of the entire breadth of humanity. I'm very interested in promoting equality of every sort, and I do so with my writing. I think that in some cases, stories can convey messages more effectively than debates or arguments.
The first things people usually notice about me
A lot of people say I make them feel very comfortable and at ease. I get that a lot -- which I suppose makes sense, seeing as I'm pretty open-minded and comfortable with who I am, so I definitely want other people I interact with to feel the same way.

My eyes, apparently.

I come across as really shy or quiet at first in a group setting, but in heart-to-heart or one-on-one conversation I come alive -- either that, or just get me talking about stories, art, creative things. I can be pretty quiet when I don't know people (I observe and listen), but pretty talkative and expressive when participating in conversation. I know how to express myself and am not afraid to do so once I know someone is interested in having a real discussion.

People often describe me as thoughtful, observant, loyal, and 'strong' (in the emotional sense) for having been through everything I have and ending up how I am.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I do love video games a lot -- some of my favorites are fighting games like Super Smash Bros. or Street Fighter, but I also really like games that have a message or purpose to them -- The Walking Dead, Journey, Life is Strange, The Last of Us, and Undertale.

Some of my favorite movies are Stranger Than Fiction, The Truman Show, Juno, The Terminal, The Lego Movie and Scott Pilgrim vs The World.

My favorite TV shows as of late are Avatar: The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra (But only the 1st season of Korra, and some bits and pieces of later seasons), Steven Universe, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Dexter, Community, Jessica Jones, and Gravity Falls. I'm also a big fan of Joss Whedon's stuff, and really enjoyed Firefly and Dollhouse. Some of my favorite series also happen to be anime, though I don't follow anime specifically -- Michiko & Hatchin (more women need to see this show, but also just more of humanity), Cowboy Bebop, Steins;Gate, FMA:B, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

I also love watching a lot of webshows with thoughtful analysis of media, culture, and video games, such as the Easy Allies, PBS Idea Channel, Extra Credits, Jimquisition...Did Felicia Day ever finish The Guild? I followed it for like five seasons.

My music tastes are a bit harder to pin down, but in general I guess my favorite genre is jazz? I like a bunch of stuff, but some of my favorite musicians lately are Billy Joel, Christina Perri, P!nk, Aivi & Surrashu (they're actually good friends of mine), Protodome, David Wise, Super Guitar Bros., KoetheKoethe, and an assortment of stuff from OverClocked Remix.
The six things I could never do without
Coffee, hugs, conversation, creative expression, my hands, my mind, my heart.

(I'd say friends, or something like that, but to me that's not a "thing," that's just a state of existing)
I spend a lot of time thinking about we as people are able to expressive ideas, thoughts, feelings, and more through stories and creative works. How we can better each other and ourselves through sharing experiences and ideas through creative means.

I also spend a lot of time thinking about people I care about, and how I can bring something into their lives -- but also missed opportunities, people I miss who aren't here anymore.
On a typical Friday night I am
...chilling at home with my housemates, perhaps with some drinks and takeout, enjoying a good show, movie, or video game together in good company and relaxing -- enjoying the creative world we live in.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I seem to absolutely love designing women's outfits/hairstyles for the female characters I write about, even though I can't draw them.
For example:
You should message me if value openness and honesty. You're here to meet actual people. You want to make friends with someone who shares common interests.

Or, ideally, if the idea of getting together and swapping TV shows or movies (or video games, books, or whatever) with each other as we share thoughts about what we're taking in is a thing that sounds interesting to you.

...if you know where the blue and white hat I'm wearing in my profile pic is from, and it matters to you, that's a nice bonus.
