My self-summary
I like to be out in the world, enjoying the company of people that I like, seeing new places, hanging out in my favorite ones, and being excited about other people's art.

I look forward to meeting new people, to listening to the wild stories that they tell about their life, or their glowing descriptions of books and television shows that they like.

I am bisexual and non-monogamous, but I really like friendships that age with me. Not all bisexuals have to have "one of each" and I don't either, really, but I will be looking at men and women that I think are pretty all my life.

I am involved in a long-term, long distance relationship, but looking for kinky people and atheists to hang out with. I am divorced and have a 13 year old daughter. She is my favorite pop artist.
What I’m doing with my life
I answer a lot of questions professionally. As a hobby, I am also a Indie publisher of my own novels.
I’m really good at
I like words a lot. I use them creatively, often to the entertainment of my crew and cohort.
The first things people usually notice about me
My blue eyes and my happy go lucky attitude.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Right now I am reading The Devil in the White City. I like old crime, and I find turn of the century Chicago interesting for some odd reason.

I read a lot of science fiction and fantasy in modern settings, and a good amount of non-fiction, history or sociology. I sometimes read mysteries, noire is better, and 20th century historical fiction. We can trade our Goodreads lists.

My tastes in movies and music are catholic, in the colloquial sense, not the liturgical.

1. universal in extent; encompassing all; wide-ranging: catholic tastes and interests. 2. having broad sympathies; broad-minded; liberal.

I like Pop, Rock, Alternative, Hair bands, Showtunes, Roots Rock, Tribal Fusion belly dance music, anything with Banjos and violins. P!nk and Katie Perry (Really: just give Waking Up in Vegas a chance). I just finished watching the first season of Shield. If we went to the movies tonight, right now, March 2015, I would want to see It Follows.

I listen to the Freakonomics and Savage Love podcasts, and interviews with authors that I like.

I eat lots stuff. OM NOM NOM. I go to vegetarian restaurants, even though I am not a vegetarian. Racy, huh? I made a slow cooker thing for this week, with split peas and fennel and Italian sausage.
Six things I could never do without
Black Coffee. People who like words and stories. Voices. Rock Music. Pop Art. Polyhedral Dice. I don't even play the damn games anymore, but I love the dice.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why people's brains work they way they do, music playlists, story plots, where to go next weekend.
On a typical Friday night I am
Talking smack in a coffee shop or searching for a good band to listen to.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am not very private, but here are some things you wouldn't know to look at me:

My nipples are pierced.
I do not self identify as CIS gendered.
I think eye-glasses are hot.
I was an anthropology major.
I think vests are sexy. Boys or girls, doesn't matter.
You should message me if
You are bold. You have a secret identity. You remember burying treasure in another life (especially if you need help digging it up).
