As far as maturity goes, I was never young, but still a child from time to time.
One thing I should probably mention: My username, "Diamondshade". It's something I came up with when I was 13, and it sounded really cool back then. I've used it all around the net since (Though apparently there's a Texan who's set on claiming it for himself) and carried it over here as well. It may be slightly embarassing at this age, but it's the alias I once chose for myself, and I don't believe in having regrets.
For what it's worth, I fairly consistently get INTJ on personality tests - though the J has almost zero weight behind it.
On faith: I've been called the worst Discordian ever. I've questioned everything, then questioned everything again, and so on. After all, a conclusion is only where you stopped thinking. The result of all this is a fragmented worldview that delves deeply into the realms of philosophy. The good news is that I've started to make some sense of this whole mess. The bad news is that I lack the words and coherence to communicate my ideas well.
I guess I should state some things in simple terms. I am not:
-A theist. I do not believe in a god.
-An atheist. I do not believe that no being that could be considered a god could conceivably exist. Actually, I can conceive of several such hypothetical beings.
-An agnostic. I do not believe that it must be impossible to obtain knowledge concerning the existence of higher beings, discounting extreme solipsism, which I've sort of broken through, even.
I'm an interested to hear and debate the religious or spiritual beliefs of other people, and I'm willing to let people believe whatever they wish as long as they don't forcibly push their views on other people.
Books: (It's been a while since I did a lot of reading)
-The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
-The Foundation series by Isaac Asimov
-The Way series by Greg Bear
-Ender's Game and Alvin Maker series by Orson Scott Card
-The Cyberiad by Stanislaw Lem
-The Princess Bride
-The Twilight Zone
-Too many anime series to list
Music is a trickier topic. I mostly only like individual pieces. There are, however, a few artists that I've learned to appreciate, though fandom or subculture has never been my thing, in music or otherwise. Without further ado, such artists include:
Games. Now we're talking.
-Fallout 1 and 2
-Master of Orion
-Heroes of Might and Magic 2, 3 and 4
-Jagged Alliance 2
-Space Empire 3, 4 and 5
Since I read a lot of webcomics, I think I'll list a few of my favorites here:
-xkcd (Heck, the holistic browser is what brought me to okcupid to begin with)
