My self-summary
After finishing law school, I began pushing for immigrant's rights and following candidates on the campaign trail as a photographer and writer, with a bit of videography thrown in on occasion. My life's pretty random, I've been across a lot of states in the recent past, but now I'm settling a bit into the Bay. I wind up in CA and NY the most lately, but I've traveled to Arizona, Texas, Mississippi, Tennessee, New Hampshire, Indiana, Florida and probably one or two more I'm forgetting.

I love travel, learning about different cultures, and living a life that could be described as "random." I only have one tattoo myself (working on it), but I have a serious weakness for a girl with some ink or a very different look.

I tend to gravitate towards social missions. I write about what I see for a few different websites, and I've been putting together a book on politics, racial issues, the primary, the Latino vote, a little bit of gay rights and women's rights and all the crazy stuff I've seen along the road. The work gets intense, but so are the rewards.

Also I rediculously love the fact that I'm a Ginger. In a strange way, while many people relate over things like national identity, there are often more unique ways that I relate to people with red hair (i.e. lame pubic hair jokes and fighting with customs to get my sunblock through security) than with those born in the same town as me
What I’m doing with my life
Currently writing, taking photos and traveling the country with a crazed band of civil rights workers
The first things people usually notice about me
My red hair and lack of melonin
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Anything by Vonnegut or Palahniuk is pretty damned good, just reread and loved Great Gatsby (I know teachers want to try, but you just CAN'T understand that book in high school the way you can as an adult), Hemingway always does it for me, A Farewell to Arms and For Whom the Bell Tolls being recent favorites. Fight Club may be my generation's defining body of literature, an entire generation of men struggling to find their ideal of masculinity, having only the Dos Equis guy to guide them.

I also like punk rock, rockabilly and japanese food

I have an addiction to Game of Thrones, it blends fantasy and history in an enthrallingly dramatic, beautiful environment so perfectly pieced together
Six things I could never do without
Good pot (I'm more like a pot nerd than an average smoker)
Martial Arts
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where I want to go (though no just where, more like Rio for Carnivale, New Orleans for Mardi Gras, Sweden for the Summer Solstice, Thailand for a Muay Thai training camp, etc.)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can be incredibly quiet, and often prefer people who are very chatty
You should message me if
You're sick of the expectations that go along with the word "dating" and just want something chill that is typically referred to as a "not date", i.e. exploring a neighborhood or knocking something off the bucket list with some pleasant company. Besides, my best relationships were with girls that I started out as friends with, and at this point a good friend is a lot more appreciated than a good date
