My self-summary
Traveled and seen a lot of the world, which I'm very grateful for. Lover of music, art, sport and can be a goofball and equally serious.

Always been a dreamer and can find amusement in most things. Despite my practical work life, I've always been more design/art inspired. I do things here and there to keep that part of my brain happy.

Beaches make me happy. Fiercely loyal to the people I care about.
What I’m doing with my life
Moved to NYC in March 2015 for a new finance gig and am lucky to work with an intelligent, funny, and international group of characters.

On my own time I love discovering new music, spending time with good people, and most importantly, laughing as much as possible at all sorts of insanity around us.

I like art shows, concerts, plays and have always been pretty active sports-wise (soccer/tennis/hockey).
I’m really good at
Whistling "Patience" by Guns N' Roses.

Making chorizo chickpea tacos...insanely good. Also, I'm not so bad at making the people around me laugh - mostly based on the way I see the world.
The first things people usually notice about me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Shadow of the Wind, The Old Man and the Sea. Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is perfection. Loved American Gods, Jennifer Government, and Lexicon.

I am a movie whore, but my sweet spot is usually thriller/action/dark comedy. A few favorites: Stranger Than Fiction, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, V for Vendetta, and The Grand Budapest Hotel (this one might have just crept into my top 5). Amelie, Angel-A, 300, The Life Aquatic, The Goonies (forever), Hot Tub Time Machine, Out Cold, etc.

Music is all over the place...recent favorites: Frightened Rabbit, Santigold, Benjamin Clementine, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, NIN, some terrible yet addictive Tiesto track, Max Richter, Explosions in the Sky, etc.

True Detective, The Wire, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Luther, Sherlock, The Fall, to name a few.
The six things I could never do without
1. Apple pie (over Xmas break I ate apple pie for breakfast 4 straight days...no regrets)
2. Noise canceling headphones
3. Passport
4. Guitar
5. Art that makes me feel like a giddy kid
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where to find the perfect taco.
On a typical Friday night I am
Fridays I am typically pooped and am usually back home at a "reasonable" hour. Usually prefer to go chill Friday night and keep the more involved outings for Saturday.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Not too private, but amusing...for one assignment in grad school (Data Modeling class, ouch) all my classmates were freaking out about a difficult assignment. I got fed up, wanted to sleep, so for the final question - which is what kept everyone up - i just wrote "tacos?" as the answer...he checked it off and gave me full credit. Others did NOT get full credit.

When I told this to my friend she nearly had a nervous breakdown and was torn between strangling me/the professor and laughing. She just ended laugh-crying in class.
You should message me if
You're smart, confident, and are comfortable enough to be goofy when you feel like it. You appreciate the craziness of our lives and enjoy a little silliness. There's only so much you can get across on these sites...let's chat, grab a drink/bite or whatever.
