Take note: I identify as polyamorous, and currently girl with whom I'm completely in love. That said, I'm still eager to meet new friends and lovers here in San Francisco. It's the spirit of the city, after all :)
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents."
Today I earn my living playing the stock market, which is fun but boring. I spend my time making movies, which is stressful but exciting. The studio that I'm a part of just premiered its first feature at the end of 2013, and we should be finishing our next project this year. You can check out the trailer for our first movie here: www.struggledreagansfilm.com
One day, I hope to earn enough to be truly independent, so I can pursue my dreams. What would that entail? I don't rightly know! Maybe I'll open an Oddity Shop? Start my own toy company? Build an airship and sail around America? Maybe all three, or maybe something else entirely! I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.
-Climbing things (Rocks, trees, the sides of buildings, etc)
-Making it awkward.
Some of my all time favorite books are: Demonic Males: Apes and the Origins of Human Violence, Cloud Atlas, George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series, anything by Thomas Pynchon, The Illuminatus Trilogy, and the comics of Alan Moore. I also love Franz Kafka, Lewis Carrol, and magical realism.
I really love music too, and my tastes fluctuate constantly. I develop a new obsession every week, or every month at least. My preferences tend towards the fast, the loud, and the weird, but I can appreciate quiet beauty, as well.
I only recently discovered the awesomeness that is rap music, after being a steadfast punk/metalhead for most of my life. The Coup, Wu-Tang Clan, Kanye West (I know), and Odd Future all have a place on my iPod now.
Old favorites include: Star Fucking Hipsters, Leftover Crack, Operation Ivy, Anything with Mike Patton, In Flames, Death, etc etc, and oh yeah... BLACK METAL.
My favorite movie is Primer, because it's so hard to understand that you can watch it 10 times, and still not be sure what happened. I also really enjoy basically anything from The Coen Brothers, Stanley Kubrick, Jean-Pierre Jeunet, as well as Charlie Kauffman and Michel Gondry.
Also, I love all food. Food is delicious. I tried to be a vegetarian, but couldn't keep my edge. If you can help me stay vegetarian/vegan, all the better.
Lately, however, I've been thinking more and more about the future. What will I be doing 10 years from now? What will be going on in the world? Will America fix its problems and become a world leader again, or will our entire government collapse, plunging our country into Mad-Max style chaos? I'm not sure I like where things are heading, but I'm sure the journey will be anything but boring.
I'm sure it was a good time, but I somehow find that I can't remember most of it. =P
