My self-summary
Local nerd looking for love. Interested? Read on.

First, I have my AS in Computer Technology. I'm still working on doing something with that, but I remain hopeful. Right now I work overnight t a secure alarm monitoring center in Earth City. It's not nearly as interesting as it sounds, but it pays fairly well.

Other than work, I sleep, hang out with friends, study, play video games, and do karaoke as often as I can. I'm also working on a novel, so there's that. Reading is a big part of my life, and if I can create something that affects even one person as much as some books have affected me, I'll be happy. I'm pretty flexible as far as interests. I'm just as happy staying in for a night of Netflix and snacks as I am as going out for a raging night on the town.

Of course this is all what I do, not who I am. That's a bit harder. I'd like to believe I'm a good person. I'm a firm believer in human rights and equality. I have a complex sense of humor, equal parts silly and wry. I make really bad jokes more often than I should and WILL NOT apologize for making you groan.

If you're looking for a dorky, quirky, well-raised gentleman with a penchant for cheesy movies, you've come to the right profile!
What I’m doing with my life
Looking to go back to school. My dream is to obtain a doctorate in English from Oxford, but any college will do. In the meantime I'm working and keeping myself occupied and out of trouble. Most nights I sit in my room and watch Netflix, but on occasion I get out and interact with other people. I need to do that more.
I’m really good at
Correcting people's grammar. Fact checking. Taking arrogant people down a peg. Also, Connect Four.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Ha. Haha. Hahaha. Hahahahahahahaha! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Movies: Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, 300, any and all Marvel movies (even the pre-Iron Man ones that kinda suck), and Black Dynamite are some of my favorites. I also (unironically) enjoy terrible movies like Troll 2, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Mac and Me, etc. I used to work at a movie store, so I've seen pretty much everything released until 2008 (when I quit).

Also Star Wars. All of them.

Shows: All Marvel Netflix shows, Star Trek (mostly Voyager and DS9, but I've seen all of them, even the Animated Series).

I was a huge fan of Drawn Together back in the day.

If you know who Mr. Larrity is, message me immediately.

Music: Freezepop, Zedd, Tiesto. Then I turn around and listen to Twenty One Pilots, followed by Tech N9ne and Twista.

Basically, anything.

Food: Applebee's is my happy place. I'm big into American cuisine, so burgers and steaks are preferred. I love Cracker Barrel. It reminds me of my mom's home cooking and I love it.

I also have a soft spot for Chinese takeout. Give me some General Tso's chicken and I'm yours.
Six things I could never do without
1. The Internet
2. My Friends
3. A Stage
4. Karaoke
5. Ambition
6. My Will to Survive and Improve
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Where to go from here (both in terms of location and life)

My next karaoke song (I'm not good, but I'm entertaining)

The terrifying wave of anti-intellectualism that's been gripping this country for years (Seriously. It's 2017 and there are people in this country who think the Earth is flat)

Puppies.
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching Dr. Who with my friends. Then I go home and write. It's therapeutic.
You should message me if
you're a sword. By this I mean you've suffered through hardship and come out better and stronger for it, like iron in a forge.

If you have a way with words. I love verbose people. Everybody has a story. Tell me yours.

anything in my profile piqued your interest and you want to know more. I love being helpful so if you have any questions I'll be more than happy to answer them.
