My self-summary
"I'm not from any place in particular. I am just on my way."

That pretty much sums me up. Life is a journey and I am in the midst of it every day. I am an open book, so please feel free to ask me anything you want to know about me. If I tell you everything in this little box, we won't have anything to talk about on our first date, right? What fun would that be? Just a few notes to get the party started:

1. I am not originally from LA.
2. I'm a southern boy at heart.
3. I have lived in 4 different states and one District.
4. I ask a lot of questions.
5. I like to laugh and make others laugh.
6. I prefer a good chortle or guffaw over a chuckle or giggle.
8. My college bowl mania entry on is Troy Will Rise Again.
9. I think my ADHD makes me more entertaining, though I can be easily distrac
What I’m doing with my life
I work at USC and live in Echo Park. I love to find plenty of time to catch up on my reading, hone my cooking skills, and finalize my plan for world domination (hint: the plan begins with a take over of Cuba, which occurs after I infiltrate Guantanamo).

I am also hiking a lot these days to get back into shape. Always looking for partners or recommendations for new hiking spots.
I’m really good at
I am an excellent cook and love to share my culinary wizardy with my friends. I also love trivia and am always looking for friends to go to trivia nights. Used to have a kick-ass team, but we have all since gone our separate ways.
The first things people usually notice about me
I get a lot of compliments on my eyes and my smile so I guess it would be one of those two, depending on your affinity.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Wow. This is tough. I am not very good at choosing favorites, but I will list of few highlights. This is by no means a definitive list.

Books: The Sound and the Fury, Me Talk Pretty One Day, If on a Winter's Night a Traveler, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime, The Collected Works of Ralph Waldo Emerson, Running with Scissors, Catcher in the Rye, This Side of Paradise, Franny and Zooey, On the Road, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Another Country, Autumn of the Patriarch, One Hundred Years of Solitude, Lost Language of Cranes, The Shining, Density of Souls, Things Fall Apart, Sister Carrie, The Harry Bosch novels...

Movies: Up, Fargo, Requiem for a Dream, Trick, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Lilies, Tommy Boy, South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut, Happy Gilmore, American Beauty, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, Mean Girls, Best in Show, Hamlet 2, Opposite of Sex, Stardust, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Inception, Run Lola Run, Space Balls, Sleepy Hollow, Big Fish, The Shining, Rashoman, The Princess Bride, Latter Days...

TV: Game of Thrones, The Following, Doctor Who, Homeland, Glee, Arrested Development, Modern Family, Banshee, Archer, Anything on the Food Network, Amazing Race, Bizarre Foods, Man v. Food, No Reservations, Dexter, Psych, It's Always Sunny, Family Guy, South Park, BBC Mystery, Peep Show, Planet Earth. Also love such dearly departed series as Six Feet Under, Monk, Weeds, and Keeping Up Appearances.

Food: Anything really. I am a serious foodie and love to try everything (hence the average designation in the body type area). On a recent trip to China I tired such delicacies as sea cucumber, venison tendon, bitter melon dumplings, and jellyfish. I grew up on a mixture of Southern comfort and German food, so those cuisines have a special place in my stomach.
Six things I could never do without
Friends and Family
My Bulldog, Millie
Good Food
Good Wine
Mental Stimulation
College Football/MLB/NHL (so that's more than one...sue me)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Everything. My mind is always working. I am naturally very inquisitive and love learning about, asking about, getting to know, and exploring the world around me.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends or home on the couch with a glass of wine, a good dinner, and a board game or netflix.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
This question makes me feel like my life is lacking excitement. I don't think I have any scandalous secrets to share here. However, my friends are often most shocked by the fact that I have never seen such classic films as Star Wars (any of them), The Wizard of Oz, or It's a Wonderful Life; yet, if such "amazing" films as Sweet Home Alabama, A League of Their Own, Steel Magnolias, Fried Green Tomatoes, Driving Miss Daisy, or Thelma & Louise are on I find it impossible to change the channel.

Oh and I also cannot stop playing the okcupid psychologist game. I am FASCINATED!

Also, I have not consumed a full-strength caffeinated beverage since 1997. And no, I am not a Mormon.
You should message me if
you're a genuine guy who is interested in getting to know me. Simple and straightforward. Why make this more complicated than it is? Oh, if you can juggle, we also need to be friends. I feel my life will not be complete until I have a friend who can juggle.
The two of us
