My self-summary
Just moved to Edwards from Boston and I'm looking for some people to hang out with and and maybe show me around. I'm a musician, with a BA in music from UMass. I've lived in MA my whole life. Would really love to get out of here for a while before it's too late. Music is my life, I love to play it, write it, and listen to it. I would literally eat it and breathe it if it was physically possible. I love to listen to all kinds of music, rock, hip hop, country, jazz, blues, reggae, classical, punk, metal, Soul blah blah blah, etc. etc. You get the idea everything, as long as it rocks.I love going to shows and seeing my friend's bands play. I'm a T-shirt and jeans kind of guy but I clean up nice. I also recently discovered that I really like wearing suspenders.

I am Old, soul, and Rock 'n' Roll
What I’m doing with my life
For the moment I'm unemployed but I used drive a delivery truck while i waited for my rock 'n' roll dreams to come true. I used to play sax in a sweet rock band with three of my best friends, and I was the drummer in a goofy punk band before that. I would love to find some people to pay music with while I'm out here. I'm also trying to acquire and learn to play as many instruments as I possibly can, currently trying to master the ukelele.
I’m really good at
Well there's the whole music thing, but specifically I have a knack for writing really dumb funny songs about pirates and rabbis, and not being a douchebag and such. I can be extremely sarcastic and self deprecating, it's just my nature. I am also a vast repository of seemingly useless, but occasionally useful information, . The latter actually being great for games of trivial pursuit and bar trivia. You absolutely want me on your team. seriously. I also have this deep seated need to read every historical marker/memorial plaque that i come across. (That's right I'm a nerd, and proud of it)
The first things people usually notice about me
is that I'm freakin' adorable : ) or my ever changing facial hair

Current beard status: Big and bushy
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Well I'm not the sort of person w\ho re-reads books but a few I've enjoyed recently, Bringing Down The House, Hells Angels (HST), Reefer Madness (Schlosser) confederacy of dunces (toole)
Some of my favorite movies include,Dogma, Mallrats, Shawshank Redemption My Cousin Vinny North by Northwest, I love Hitchcock, anything by Mel Brooks or Monty Python, Brazil And Time Bandits included in that, ( I love Terry Gilliam) and anything with Adam Sandler. Documentaries are also a particular favorite along with almost any sports movie and a whole slew of terrible movies that I am far to embarrassed to admit to in such a public forum.

In the area of television, my favorite shows are House, Law and Order SVU, Family Guy, Dexter, Shameless, Weeds, and pretty much any kind of documentary show, Guilty pleasure, Antiques Roadshow.

Music, I'll try and keep this brief, Boston and Queen are two of the greatest bands to ever walk the face of the earth. Ok that's out of the way, let me give you the short list of artists that i love, John Coltrane, Charlie Parker, Miles Davis, Hank Williams, Marty Robbins Elvis Presley and/or Costello, the Animals Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones (but not since 1980 ewww) The Temptations (really anyMotown or Stax records Motorhead MF Doom Madlib Judas Priest Sublime, The Pogues The Doors Sam Cooke The Clash X Ray Spex The Shins The Kinks The Who Otis Redding The Misfits and The Ramones, again blah blah blah i could go on forever but i'll spare you. I'm a huge music nerd.

As far as food goes crab rangoons may be one of the world's most perfect foods, when done correctly nuff ced. But i'm really just meat and potatoes kind of guy meatloaf and mashed potatoes, or beef stew are totally killer.
Six things I could never do without
#1 my saxophone, started me on my musical journey, where ever I go, it comes with me, always.
#2 My family, wouldn't be much of a life with out them. Really this includes all my friends too because they may as well be family.
#3 My car, just couldn't, I love driving way too much, don't get the wrong idea I'm not a gear head, and I'm useless under the hood, i just like to drive around. (currently carless)
#4 Beer, nectar of the gods really, I love it in all it's forms, from PBR, to the finest porters and Belgian ales. It's all delicious and it's all wonderful.
#5 My record collection, I'm a vinyl junky, it's a very serious addiction, there's just something awesome about finding a cool old record at goodwill. Ballpark figure, I probably own nearly 600 records and it really includes all manner of things.
#6 this used to be my cell phone, but I'm changing this one to seasons, i was in LA in October and and it was like 80 degrees everyday, weird.

2 other things Moxie it is the most perfect soda in all the world and even better with bourbon and Hot Sauce makes almost anything better
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Nothing, spacing out is among my favorite activities. But I'm also constantly trying to come up with new songs, and musical endeavors. I've got about a billion different ideas for projects swarming around in brain at any given time. Also why people with money and power can't seem to grasp that a happy, healthy, well paid work force would actually benefit them more than not providing a slight cost of living increase so they can buy that third lexus... (sorry now i'm just venting)
On a typical Friday night I am
I'm usually out at bar somewhere or hanging out with friends maybe going to a show or playing one with my band. There is something to be said for nice quiet night at home with a couple of beers or a bottle of wine though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have a spork tattooed on the back of right arm
You should message me if
You want to grab a drink and a bite to eat, catch a show
The two of us
