My self-summary
I'm a really passionate person hidden underneath a quiet and reserved surface. I've got strong convictions, but I love being proven wrong and learning something new a million times over proving myself right. I believe that the journey is more valuable than any loot you could get at the end. That comic books are literature, Jackson Pollock made great art, white chocolate is the best chocolate, and Blastoise is way cooler than Charizard. I believe in the magic of a nat' 20, the last quarter at the arcade, cracker jacks at ball games, and long walks under city lights.
What I’m doing with my life
I've got my dream job as an engineer at a video game company, which is pretty awesome. Drawing has always been a part of my life, but these days I've been spending my nights working on making it a bit more of a serious hobby. So I guess that's my latest obsession. Sometimes when I'm feeling particularly motivated I'll experiment with small game prototypes for fun (last one was a fun little VR game!).

The six things I could never do without
A sense of wonder for the world.

But also some necessary cynicism.

That feeling when everything goes exactly as planned and you're floating on cloud nine.

But also that humbling feeling when it all fails spectacularly and you feel a little growth as a person.

The black ink in my pen.

And my notebook to bleed it out.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Whatever happened to Robot Jones?
On a typical Friday night I am
Watching Batman cartoons or playing co-op games with my best bud. Hitting up the Alamo Drafthouse and watching something cool with a nice ale and Sriracha flake popcorn. Or just having a chill night with my sketchbook and great music.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I sing in the car when I'm driving on my own. Loudly. Also, one time in highschool I tried learning how to do screamo vocals for the band I was in with my best friends. My vocal cords were much less enthusiastic about it. Decided to do them a solid and give up my dreams of being a Post Hardcore front man. *Wipes away single tear*
You should message me if
You wanna hit up some arcades and need a player 2! Or you like spending your saturday mornings reading by the window and listening to some records. If you believe in anything I mentioned waaaay above, we should probably give hanging out a shot.
