My self-summary
Ahh lists, don't we all love them? Have some items:

I'm a total geek, I love computer games, board games, electronics, music

I did a theatre degree but sucked at it. I'm now a programmer instead, my job is to break things as much as possible, and if I'm given coffee my speed increases to 300%.

I love chocolate and good food (not necessarily in that order).

I'm polyamorous and live with a partner, though there's always more room for friends, dates and more in my life. I'm a little bit like a cat, love sunbeams and sleeping.
What I’m doing with my life
Being a programmer. Learning violin, can just about play guitar as it is. About to start a second degree with the OU in the sciences (Planetary). Travelling around the world when I can, but just as happy to stay at home and drink hot chocolate.
I’m really good at
Fixing things that are broken, especially computers. I'm getting better at violin playing. I'm superb at starting projects that I don't finish.

Exceptional at making a mess, not so good at tidying it up again later. I put my theatre design degree to good use by occasionally moving furniture.

Making a fool of myself (another good use for a theatre degree).
The first things people usually notice about me
I have absolutely no idea, I'm of average height, my haircut is uninteresting, I have no massive scars that might out me as a lion tamer.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I love the Discworld series as well as the Lord of the Rings (books and movies). I adore Moulin Rouge, and anything sci-fi (Firefly is my Holy Grail). Started reading the Culture series.

Love Farscape, Star Trek, Star Wars, Alias, Fringe.

Italian food makes me happy (along with chocolate), but I also adore sushi.

Games: Assassin's Creed, MGS, Civ, Portal, Mass Effect

My music is a mix between electronica (Daft Punk, The Glitch Mob), awesome violin playing (Lindsey Stirling), drum and bass (Hospitality), rock (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Nightwish, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Queen), among lots of other stuff. I don't discriminate in my musical tastes.
Six things I could never do without

My passport

Hot chocolate

The internet

Cheese toasties
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Life, cooking (I'm starting to get into it, somehow), music, electronics, computers, finishing projects that I started....

Politics, philosophy, food, travelling.
On a typical Friday night I am
At home watching TV with a cat curled up somewhere nearby. Usually have my laptop open and getting lost on Wikipedia (or TVTropes)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't really have any middling 'private' things. Either they're really really private, or they're not private at all.
You should message me if
You think I sound interesting and you'd like to find out more.

You're looking for anything from a new friend to a potential date.

You want to geek out about anything.

You want to?
The two of us
