My self-summary
Ok first off why are dating profiles harder to write than a Business Plan?!?... Well here goes...

My name is ____ and I am a recovering Workaholic. I say recovering because a years ago I realized that there is much more to life than profit margins and making millions for someone else. So I have spent the past few years exploring myself and the wonders of the world around me. In this time I have discovered a passion for hiking, longboarding and just exploring this great city of Hamilton (and surrounding areas) and perhaps most importantly I found myself (think it was under a moss-covered log along the Bruce

I have had the opportunity to explore so many things in the past few years and I have discovered the capacity to have more than one truly meaningful relationship, whether that be long term, short term or whatever. I truly enjoy meeting new people and experiencing life through a new set of eyes and experiences.

I am not looking for a hook-up or one night stand. I prefer to let my relationships grow organically whether they be friendships, intimate connections, or just philosophical debate partners.

I have three amazing children, but as I started young I am well on my way to becoming an "empty nester" in the next couple years. Now while I can't have more children, I am very conscious of the balance needed to juggle personal relationships and a family life. I am "Out" to all of my immediate family and most of my friends, and being both Poly and Bi I have the opportunity to be a responsible role model to my children whether it be personally, professionally or in responsible dating. Because of some of the challenges this lifestyle presents, I couldn't do it without the support of my partner, family and friends.
What I’m doing with my life
After a lengthy career in various aspects of Retail-Display/Design/Construction, I have recently embarked on a journey of self discovery or perhaps re-discovery is more accurate. I have spent the past 12-15 years traveling around North America designing and opening stores for a couple large national retailers and I have now found myself with an amazing opportunity to start my own business.

This has not been an easy road to discovery, but once I stopped and looked at my accomplishments and analyzed what was really important to me, I realized that I have so much to offer. So now I am in the process of polishing things up in preparation to the next phase of my life.
I’m really good at
Most things... Now that may seem a little facetious, but when you Google "Jack of all Trades" my image is at the top of the list.

I enjoy cooking and have been told I am quite good at it, but I hate following recipes and so far I haven't sent anyone to the hospital...

I enjoy transforming and redecorating interior/exterior living spaces, stores, etc and have been told this is "my calling"...

I enjoy Men's fashion and have been told I sometimes look like I fell out of a issue of GQ
The first things people usually notice about me
Either the way that I dress or the bald head
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books - I don't make a lot of time to read literature, but if I am soaking up some rays on the beach I enjoy a good spy/political thriller that could be set in the present day, or something that challenges traditional thought. Examples are The Bourne series, The Da Vinci Code, the Jack Ryan series by Tom Clancy (my favourite is a tie between Without Remorse & Rainbow Six), etc. I do spend a lot of time reading things on personal growth and relationships and I personally feel that Tristan Taormino's "Opening Up" should be the first book anyone reads if they are looking to explore Ethical Non-Monogamy. Other good reads include Sex At Dawn and The Ethical Slut.

Movies - Follow a similar train of thought as the fiction I read. I simply love things with good plot twists, strong character development or something that just hasn't been done before. Think! Films tend to be (and other Independent films) great at being a little out of the box, but I love the traditional block busters as well. Fav's to date are: The Matrix, The Game, The Bourne Series, Shortbus, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Grease, The Avengers, Crank, The Transporter, etc. I have a sweet spot for Marvel movies, but have been thoroughly disappointed with a few that should have been much better (Daredevil and The Fantastic Four are at the top of that list, and I am having nightmares imagining what Ben Affleck will do to the Batman franchise)

Shows/Theater - Simply love musicals. I am a former season ticket holder at Mirvish for a couple of years, and saw some truly amazing performances. In no particular order - Priscilla Queen of the Desert, The Lion King, Rock of Ages, Mamma Mia, War Horse, just too many to list. Now I'm not just about the big "Broadway" productions, I also enjoy local theater whether that is a one man show at the Staircase Theater or a local production at Theater Aquarious.

Music - I can't really define what my music tastes are other than eclectic. My personal library recently surpassed 12,000 tunes. If you hit shuffle you could hear anything from Johnny Cash, Randy Travis, Phillip Phillips, Wilson Phillips, Elton John, Infected Mushroom, Black Sabbath, Mika, Queen, Adam Lambert, Pitbull, Andrew Lloyd Weber and even Miley Cyrus (doesn't mean I enjoy watching her dance, but the tunes are good for the most

Food - I would like to be a little more adventurous as I tend to be a "creature of habit." As I mentioned I have travelled a fair amount and people often find it funny that I don't need a menu for most corporate chains, once I have found a couple dishes I like it just makes things easier... But if you have a chance to go to an Earls, try the Hunan Kung Pao with and appetizer of Chicken + Wontons... YUM!!! With that said I like traditional Canadian fare, Thai, Chinese, Italian but not too much into the curries though. Over the past couple years I have been more health conscious in my eating habits, while not quite a vegetarian I do appreciate fresh foods.
Six things I could never do without
My i-Products (yes I drank the Kool-Aid... But they just simply work so well together)
(Order depends on the day)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
"WHY" or How

Why did they build that city there...
Why do people turn right when they go into a store...
How did "they" do that? (get that paint finish, colour of frosting, or who knows... How do they get the caramel into a Caramilk bar?

There is a reason or secret to everything... And I just gotta know or try and figure it out.
On a typical Friday night I am
Is there such a thing?
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Well I don't really want to admit it here, so you are gonna have to ask...But I guess this does lead to my Kryptonite... I find it hard to lie... If you ask me a direct question you will get an honest to work on my delivery of said honesty... lol
You should message me if
Ok so you have read this far... And haven't run away so if YOU are looking for...

An open minded friend to shoot the shit with over a coffee or a drink...
Someone to go for a hike and chat in the Greater Hamilton Area...
Someone to catch a movie with... And if it is something with Jason Statham even better :-)...
Someone to hit the Niagara area for a wine tour/tasting...
Someone open to exploring a relationship in whatever form that takes...
You're just looking for an overall genuine caring person to explore life and new experiences with.
