My self-summary
I'm really not that good at talking about myself, but here it goes. I guess I'm on here because after some not so wonderful and meaning full relationships, I'm giving this a try. I'm 31 years old and just recently moved back to N.Y. I lived down south for two years, but decided to move back home to be closer to family and friends. After being single for a while I'm looking to meet someone again and see where things go. I figured this would be a good place to start. I've made a few mistakes the last few years.. But I feel as though i've grown from them and learned to be a better person because of them.

I love life and everything that it has to offer. I work hard for everything that I want, enjoy being independent, and have a pretty good head on my shoulders. After being single for a little while, I'm hoping to open up my doors, and share a part of life with someone else who truly deserves to be a part of it. I would like to meet someone who respects who I am, what I do, and accepts me for the good, the bad, and the indifferent. I despise games, liars, and superficial people. If you are someone who does any one of the above, or plays games, please do move on, I do not want to waste my time nor yours.

I've lived all over the country, have traveled a good part of the world, and I can honestly say that I've enjoyed every minute of it. I've met a lot of great people along the way, and have some great friends from all walks and avenues of life. I love to learn about other people. People and culture fascinate me, I love languages and can speak 2 others apart from English fluently. I'm working on learning two other languages at the moment but they are a work in progress. I'm a music and adrenaline junkie, love and live off of coffee, enjoy keeping myself in shape, and take great pride in my accomplishments in life thus far, but am always looking to further myself and better myself as a person and as a human being.

I'm always down for an adventure, love the outdoors, and would like to meet someone who has the same interests and passions as I do. I would also like to meet someone who motivates me, challenges me, encourages me to be a better person, teaches me new things, and overall has a positive attitude towards life.

I know this is so cliche to say but I have nothing but a big heart, and have a constant smile on my face. As much as I can sit here and type all the wonderful things about me in life, I don't think that words convey who I am as a person. My actions speak louder than just my words, I would like to end up with someone who acts on their words and do what they mean and say. Disclaimer: I have a hard time trusting and believing in people, and it is not words that define who you are, it is the actions that you convey to me that prove to me that you are everything you say you are. Seeing is believing and I live that motto everyday.

Like I said I have a hard time talking about myself but that's just a little bit about me. If you're still reading this, and feel as though we're alike and compatible and would like to get to know more about me, feel free to contact me. I promise I won't bite :)
What I’m doing with my life
I have a bachelors in Political Science and History with a focus in international relations and law.I am going back to college to earn my degree in clinical counseling. I'm also considering getting my masters in psychology and opening my own clinic. I love helping people and I figured this would be a great way to do it.
I’m really good at
The typical: Being a good friend, a good listener, treating others with respect and always having a heart even when others don't do the same.

The not so typical: Being brutally honest and stern when I need to be, sarcastic as all hell (always in a good way though), remembering peoples names and always remembering a face when I've seen it before.

There's a lot more...but I think that's good enough for right now. Otherwise what would be point of getting to know me?
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm quite tall.. 6'2 I'm sure there's others...but that's what people usually first say when they meet me so we'll go with that.

Foods: Did I mention that I love to cook. I eat and can cook just about everything. Sushi, Indian, Italian, Thai, Vietnamese, French, I'm willing to give anything a try once.
The six things I could never do without
My family.
My friends.
My jobs.
My education.
Wine (not gonna lie, I do love wine)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
My future goals and aspirations and where I want to be in the next few years.

Taking care of my friends and family, and hoping that they'll see me reach my goals.

Our country and where it's headed.

Hoping that I'll meet that special someone who I can share my life and time with.

The Zombie Apocalypse- Don't laugh!!!! It can happen :) Just joking about the zombie apocalypse.
On a typical Friday night I am
I am out having a glass of wine or two with friends, spending time with my family, out to the movies, or just curled up on a couch with a good book.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I absolutely hate spiders with a passion. Snakes, bugs, and other assorted reptiles I have no problems with. Just spiders.. I saw Arachnaphobia as a kid and I've been scared ever since..I know that's not very manly to admit but hey at least I admit it.
You should message me if
You took the time to read my profile, liked what you read, and would like to get to know more about me.

You love red wine!!!
