My self-summary
I'm a happy healthy native Californian. I love the outdoors as much as I love living in the city. Weekends are for adventures, there are too many mountains, beaches and forests nearby to stay in the city all the time. I'm a wildlife biologist, so I spend a lot of time catching critters around the bay area. I'm into sports, and would be just as happy going to a hockey game as I would be going for a hike. You would probably like spending time with me if you enjoy a few of these things: outdoor shenanigans (backpacking, snowboarding, SCUBA, river trips, climbing, hot springs), going to sporting events, cooking whatever the hell is left in the cupboard/fridge into something fantastic, drinking good whiskey, going to rock/punk/electronic/etc etc shows (I have eclectic music needs), and exploring new bars and restaurants across the city.
I am looking for someone who is kind and caring but still speaks sarcasm fluently and can laugh at a life, even when it isn't appropriate.
What I’m doing with my life
Biostitute and Environmental Consultant
I’m really good at
Bragging about how good I am at stuff.
The first things people usually notice about me
Blue eyes
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Anything by Vonnegut, Rushdie, Pinchon, Marquez, Irving, Stephenson.
Movies: I like em but don't really have favorites. Anything Cohen Brothers or Tarantino
Shows: Game of Thrones, South Park, Walking Dead, The Wire, Archer, whodunnit crime shows, Jeopardy (One day I'll be go on and win a boatload of cash)
Music: Murder by Death. Go listen to them right now. I like most any and all, but favorites include NOFX, Bad Religion, Tool, Radiohead, Devil Makes Three, most music from the 60's and 70's and 80's, and many more
Food: Yes please! Hands down the best part of living in SF is the food
Six things I could never do without
Sleeping bag, food, water, and good company...so four things. Maybe beer and whiskey too?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What's for dinner
What I should do this weekend besides sleep past 5:30am
On a typical Friday night I am
Either driving to Tahoe/Yosemite/Humboldt/Santa Cruz, or going out to get dinner and drinks with friends. Or sleeping.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't like the Giants. There I said it. You can burn me at the stake. But I'll still go to games at At&t just for the experience. Especially if the Dodgers are in town.
You should message me if
You think it's not weird at all that I'm into wildlife and plants and nature in general, but not in a psuedosciencey "ginger/weed/crystals cure cancer!!!" kind of way. And if you like sipping excellent whiskey on a cold night with stars instead of city lights occasionally.
Message meif you're interested, I like a gal who is assertive and knows what she wants. It can be tough for a guy trying to stand out on this site, so if you like me, let me know!
