My self-summary
I've got an abstract at best, about the what I'd like to do in the future, but keeping in touch with my inner-self is the best map I have to making dreams come true. For now though, science is my sand box career, and the arts are my past time.

I am in Long Beach for tentatively a year, so I'm not looking for a serious relationship. Although, I like to let things happen naturally, and I appreciate keeping adrift with the changes that come my way. That aside, I'm looking for those who really want to just grab a beer or coffee on weekends, just to spice things up. I am sure you and I have plenty of things to do!

If it means anything, how about you name a book (or equivalent) and we face-off across the brim of each's glass for an hour or two!
What I’m doing with my life
I'm graduating with a BS in Biochem., with a double minor. I've worked towards going into an MD/PhD program somewhere in the US. I love the art of the scientific approach, and it seems like I've had a love for figuring out how people 'work.'
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
Genuine, comfortable, serious face....I've been told a lot that I look like Ron Howard. I like my sense humor dry, dark, and witty when the company is right :P (I'm an nerd-veteren, as in I'm retired but still get it)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm on a literary comedy and poetry binge. (08/24/13: AND Historical/Cultural Documentary Binge, netflix <3 )

The books I read most often are textbooks/journals/articles.

I don't go to movies often, but I try to make to see the good (award-winning) one's when I can

Love music. Played jazz sax for 14years.

Love food. I can cook, and I like experiencing a chef's quality work from fine to hole-in-the-wall dining.

I would like to see more smaller-scale plays (not-musicals). I've seen 1 about every 4 years, and want to bump that up to 1/yr.
Six things I could never do without
the Real vs. the Ideal
my bicycle (which is broken, damn you Khan.)
comfortable clothing
a Good song on the radio at least once/mo.
a clean kitchen
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...too much some times.

I love to absorb all kinds of ART, and make an effort to appreciate it for its style and what the artist sees in it.

How about you? :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I respect someone who understands the philosophy behind, "How to love, rather than be loved."
You should message me if
if you like to keep a conversation going until the silence is golden :)

(I'm in the process of updating my profile, so please ask-away if you're inclined!)
