My self-summary
I grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. It was full of beaches, seafood and Southern hospitality. Eventually, I came to a point in my life where I needed to figure out what I was going to do next. My sister, already living in Tucson, suggested that I move to the desert. A place full of snakes, large spiders and mostly year round heat. Having a strong dislike for all of these things, I instantly said yes! I loaded up the car and set out West.
What I’m doing with my life
I am a manager at Casa Video where I've worked since moving to Tucson. If you don't know what Casa is, it's one of the very few brick and mortar video stores that hasn't closed in the country. If you like movies, get to know Casa.
I’m really good at
...naming that one with that guy who was in that movie that was out last year. Seriously, a vague description or a few actors and I'll do everything I can to find it. I'd also like to think that I'm pretty good at cooking and baking. I've developed my own King Cake recipe that I might try adapting into cinnamon rolls.
The first things people usually notice about me
I often get complemented on my green eyes. No, really, even when I was a kid. The eyes.

I have an inch and a half scar across my left cheek. Surgery when I was a kid.

I also have a tattoo on my left inner forearm.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: If you have never read a Christopher Moore book, I recommend that you remedy that as soon as possible. I dare you to read Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal and not laugh. Neil Gaiman, Douglas Adams and Stephen King are always fun to read.

Movies: There are so many movies, it would be hard to name them all. Some of the lesser known ones are Ocean Heaven, Strings, J.S.A. and Dhoom 2. Kurosawa is awesome. A lot of the best movies I've seen lately are coming out of Korea. The Man From Nowhere and I Saw the Devil are two of the best movies I've seen in years. Anything from Park Chan-Wook or Bong Joon-Ho is worth watching. I think that The Empire Strikes Back is the greatest love story ever filmed and I will argue that point (although I might concede the argument to Wall-E or the first 20 minutes of Up quicker than most).

TV Shows: Sports Night, The Wire, West Wing, Battlestar Galactica (04), Community, How I Met Your Mother, Buffy, Stargate, Entourage and Coupling are all great.

Music: I listen to pretty much everything. Metallica, The Beatles, Dragonforce, Elvis, Traveling Wilburys, Queen, Poison, Rob Zombie... the list goes on.

Food: I'm from around New Orleans. God, I miss the food. Po-boys, etouffee, crawfish pie, red beans and rice, gumbo and shrimp stew are all fantastic.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why is it called COMMON sense if it is so rare?
On a typical Friday night I am
At work. For about the last several years now.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I lived in a house with 8 cats (most were a roommate's, only one was mine). I tried to justify it by telling myself that the house was huge and it averaged out to 2 cats per person living in the house. It also helped that 5 of them were black, so you could lie to yourself about them being the same cat. While I hope that I will never live with that many cats again, it has inspired me to own a large number of cat t-shirts. We're talking 5, maybe 6 cat shirts.

Also, I have a huge man crush on the Korean actor and pop superstar, Rain.
You should message me if
You refer to Usher as "The American Rain". Or if you know just how awesome a 16th lvl Dwarf Rogue with Greater Two Weapon Fighting, a Blinking ring and Ghost Touch weapons can be.
