The Loves of a Poet
-----My e-mail sig------

Is amazed most of the time.

Much more to write here. Soon I'll do more, be more complete. Have re-realized how futile this is, to 'Self-Summarize' that is, as this is a marvelous life of exquisite, undulating landscapes. Something new is always coming afield. Fortunately, I've learned not to grasp so much as to allow my fingertips to glide along, lightly dancing on surfaces while belly breathing.
What I’m doing with my life
Briefly, I long pursued a corporate career. At times was being groomed for executive positions. Found the whole thing fascinating. Yet it is not something for which I had a passion. Only a fascination and it ate my life. So, I became poor and have enjoyed it. I'm changing that now that I've a better view to what my balance is and how it morphs. Am currently enrolled in school pursing an Associates of Applied Science in GIS (Geographic Information Systems). Fascinating & enthralling stuff! Perhaps a Bachelors after that perhaps not. We'll see where things lead when I complete this course.
I’m really good at
Storytelling, eating, cooking, thinking, art, writing, smiling and laughing. For a biased subset.

Oh, I've been accused of being a Rhetorician which I took as complimentary yet that clearly wasn't the intent. I believe, would like to think, that grace and civility have become the vital tones in my practice of this art. Though, I am so willing to be corrected. Afterall, just how accurate is it possible to be in self-perception, hmmm?
The first things people usually notice about me
Not sure. It's one of those things I wish I knew more about.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Oh so many & much!! I grew up in an artistic family. From the age of 6 or so have lived around the theater, film & TV world. Read that more for my strong dislikes than for my passions. I hope I never have to go to Los Angeles again.

Let's try this:

My Seattle Public Library 'Completed Shelf' (101 items, books only though it is far from complete):

Please bear in mind that the 'Date Added' does not equate with 'Date Read.'

My IMDb 'My Movie' list with ratings (1654 titles listed):

Certainly not complete as I've only been using this feature since 2006.

Food? See top of page for e-mail sig. I'm also fond of saying 'That I've never met a menu that didn't like me.' The majority of my dates, where a meal was consumed, have reported a 'sensual pleasure' in watching me eat, in observing the pleasure I derive from eating.

Music? the 'My Music' folder on this machine is 22.6 GB and contains 2,974 Files in 280 Folders. I probably add between 3 and 5 folders (albums?? Now there's a dated term!) a week.
Six things I could never do without
The sublime.
The mystical.
The injured.
The broken open from being misinformed, misled.
Heavy weather.
Sunny respites.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
See the Six Things.
On a typical Friday night I am
At a meeting followed by cupcakes & wishing for coffee but I've become so over-sensitive to caffeine. A true curse for a coffee snob.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
My supreme confidence in my abilities. But don't read that as arrogance or interest in conquering. It's reason bound. I won't bother with things unless I have reason. The women I find most attractive terrify me. It's been a most troublesome thing.
You should message me if
I’m an empty essay... fill me in!
