My self-summary
Well, to wrap myself up in a nut shell, my name is Lucas and I graduated from the University at Concordia in Montreal a little more than a year go. I studied History and Political Science. I grew up in rural Vermont in the States, but I've become quite accustomed to the city life! I've been back in Vermont, but am pursuing a masters degree in International Affairs, and will either be in Paris or Boston!
What I’m doing with my life
I will be pursuing a masters in International Relations inParis when January comes! I have arrived!
I’m really good at
being myself. What can I say, I'd say that's a pretty good thing to be. If you can't be yourself, than what can you really be good at? But on a more serious note, I'm good at communicating with people and memorizing facts about history and giving massages.
The first things people usually notice about me
My listening skills. Some people tell me I should have been a psychologist, I very good at talking to people and working out solutions to problems. I also enjoy hearing a good story! I'm also told I'm a great story teller.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
This question would take too much space and time to answer, so I'll keep it simple:

When it comes to books, the absolute highlight I've read is Candide by Voltaire and Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger. But I always seem to emerge myself in some historical fiction novels as well.

When it comes to movies, one of my best friends majored in film, so I've had plenty of exposure to all sorts of films! I'm not particularly picky as long as the plot sounds good! But, I'll be honest, I'm kind of a James Bond nerd.

When it comes to food, I'm Italian American, so anything Italian sounds good to me! ;)

When it comes to music, I've got a wide range of music! I'm pretty much content with hearing anything from classic rock like the stones to punk rock like Turbo Fruits, to The Hives to Classical Yo Yo Ma type stuff (probably since I used to play the cello) and have recently finding myself into stuff from Danger Mouse as well!
The six things I could never do without
Well I wouldn't say there are six things that I could never do without, I'd narrow it down to just four!
1) Air and water--plain and simple, wouldn't be alive without it!
2) Coffee Shops. It's an awesome place to just chill and hang out with friends, as well as to get work done!
3) My car. If I'm not mobile then I can't go places. If I can't go places, I can't have more experiences!
4) My laptop. Not only do I use it for taking notes class but I usually ALWAYS have it on me for various reaons!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
different cultures and how the world works. It's a very complex world out there, and deserves much thought. From each individual, to their country, to how they interact with the world! Also about where the future might lead as well!
On a typical Friday night I am
Well, my schedule doesn't allow for "typical" Friday nights. I'm usually just chillin' or going out with my friends or possibly just take time to relax after a long week.
You should message me if
If you think we'd have something to talk about, or you've got a great story to tell! Also, I'm very open, and realize that most girls are too shy to send a message, but if you want to send one, you should! I give brownie points for the courage!
