My self-summary
I joined this site to meet new people and more. Most of my friends are now married, married with kids, or don't live close by.

I really enjoy cooking and reading. I have a few interests that could catalog me as nerdy, but I'm wanting to find someone to share similar interests with. Bonus points if you have skills that lend themselves to robotics... and more bonus points if you'll mentor a high school team! I also weld.

For many years, I was the mermaid out at the renaissance festival until I became a squire with the jousting company! So I enjoy an "artful" lifestyle.

Right now I'm teaching science to eighth and tenth-grade students. On a daily basis, I have to use my smarts to outwit those young adults. So be up front when you contact me. Even if your message is something along the lines of "hey" I'll still take the time to read it and go visit your profile to learn more about you. If we have something in common, it means that we can have a conversation. Just look past my nervousness on a date, I'm like that with everyone until I get comfortable around you. Only then will I fully open up and we can discuss every and anything.

There are a few topics and behaviors that will make me automatically dislike you:
- No dick pics or casual sex requests. Those never work to get someone's attention.
- If you've been divorced more than a few times, we're not going to work out.
- I believe in science over religion, you want to praise a deity on your profile. We'll have issues.
- Have GOOD hygiene! Don't look like an unwashed bum.
- You just want me around while you wait to see if someone better comes along.
- You cancel repeatedly or just can't make plans without giving a reason. I'm not looking for a flake.
-' Hey beautiful', 'hey sexy' or 'U R Thick' are your opening lines to a stranger.
What I’m doing with my life
I am currently teaching Biology and earth/ space science at a high school. I still work part time for the aquarium at Crown Center. I am also a mermaid on the rare occasion. I coach a robotics team, a softball team and sponsor the school's garden club. During the fall I work with Noble Cause as a squire at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival.
I’m really good at
my job. I pride myself in being knowledgeable about what I do. My favorite thing is being with my "kids" because we have great times and I'm glad to be that teacher that they are going to remember!
The first things people usually notice about me
People usually notice how busy I am... One of my students comment on how different I look from last year. She says I look less tired! :) I'd like to think that I've finally got this teaching thing down!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I read pretty much anything, watch anything as long as it's not something sad about animals and listen to everything but country. Food I will also try pretty much anything once. I'd like to think I'm adventurous.
The six things I could never do without
My students - even though sometimes they can be difficult I enjoy every moment with them and I love the feeling that I get when I see them use a new skill or understand a difficult topic!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about quite a few things. My brain has so many things squished into it that sometimes it feels like it's about to explode! Science, robotics, how things work, what I can do to be a better teacher...
On a typical Friday night I am
I could be doing anything on a Friday... it often depends on what time did I leave the school that day. From January to the middle of February I'm probably exhausted after a long week of late nights building robots and getting some sleep before I spend my Saturday doing the same!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Online dating makes me weary and just hate people. At least once a day someone messages me that clearly has read nothing I wrote and then gets pissed off when I won't talk to them. When is it appropriate to tell a stranger that they are an idiot? I'm patient; I have to be. I work with teenagers but come on you're almost 30 or older... I don't have time for this!
You should message me if
I don't often message anybody so if you'd like to talk to me or find out more your best chance is to message me first.
